I purchased this for a once in a lifetime holiday to Canada, and don't regret a single penny. It enabled me to produce some really nice and quirky footage, which makes the final result that much more interesting.I did, and I would, recommend that you watch some videos on tips and hints. There are some really good channels on youtube, so worthwhile investing some time watching.It has an excellent build quality. light and comfortable to carry. Easy to setup.Since purchasing mine, a newer model has been released, but I don't believe there is a great difference in functionality. The clip that goes on the phone is magnetic and fits the phone snuggly. The only issue is you have to have it central to the phone so it may or may not interfere with side buttons. The magnetic clip is very powerful and unless you shake it really excessively, has never fallen off.The DJI Mimo software is very reasonable however you have to download it and install (Android) manually as it is not in the playstore. Why? I don't really know. You can use your native cameral software though, but the Mimo does add more options. My only gripe with the software is that your phone connects via bluetooth and when you put it into suspend mode, more often than not it doesn't automatically reconnect. I also had an issue which I reported to the DJI which was to do with the software not correctly identifying the GPS location, so registered a lot of my video being in Russia rather than Canada. They did eventually acknowledge the bug and hopefully by now has been resolved.

Well I’m a gadget guy and I really wanted one so I bought one, it works well, the app is pretty good has some really good features, I’m yet to really put it to test so I will come back later to complete my review. Now the one thing I wanted to comment on is the colour, I have other DJI products and usually they either come in Grey or White, my drones are Grey so I thought I’d go White for the OM5, or to be specific “Sunset White” this is where the stars are lost for me, the only thing white about it was the box it came in, the sunset element basically means Pink!….think about the red sock you left in your washing machine when washing white shirts, you get the idea! But why Pink? I wish I’d bought grey but I cannot be bothered to send it back. It’s not so obviously pink that anyone would really notice but the colour almost looks like it was a mistake….surely they wanted to make it white but someone just left a red sock in the machine…surely!?

I have used various electronic and mechanical stabilizers from a number of brands for 15+ years and apart from a bit of a learning curve getting the app to connect on first use this gimbal is:i) The easiest and most intuitive gimbal I have ever usedii) It shoots the most stable smooth footageiii) Is incredibly lightweightI have done tests with gimbals 3-4x the price of this one and they sometimes struggle in complex outdoor environments like forests, where you can get juddery footage.On first use this gimbal it gave me perfect smooth footage using a smartphone and I was even able to walk fast, run up and down uneven slopes and get usable footage. Impressive.

I bought a different one and I didn’t like t so I returned it. I wasn’t very sure about this used product but I knew the price of it was new so I decided take the risk and try it. I always could return it as well. I think it the best I could do. I bought it for my travel to Mexico last November and another holidays trip this year.Good connection on with the app in the phone. Good product. You can use as selfie stick (but not so long) and as tripod.

I purchased the DJI OM 5 Smartphone Gimbal Stabilizer few months before, and my experience has been mixed. While the build quality is solid and the stabilizer does a good job at reducing shakes, I found it not as user-friendly as I hoped.The setup and controls are quite complex, taking a significant amount of time to understand and get used to. The instructions provided aren’t very intuitive, and I had to watch several tutorials to get a handle on its features.Overall, while the DJI OM 5 offers good stabilization, the steep learning curve and complicated setup process have made it less enjoyable to use than I anticipated.

The videos and pictures through the app are a better quality. I love this gimble and have used it a fair few times to get great videos and pictures. I'd recommended to a friend who has also purchased one.Easy to use, the videos on the app are great and really straightforward. It takes a little practice to get used to the settings but really quick to pick up.

I'm so unsure about these 1 star reviews. I recieved today, and had it set up and ready to shoot within 5 mins. This is NOT water or dust resistant, make sure to keep away from all elements. Weighs a little bit more than I expected, and was a little weird to use at first but it works amazing. Comes with an amazingly easy beginner tutorial for the botton layout, and how to use the various features. The app that dji requires for it to pair with a phone is in the apk format, meaning you have to install the app from a different outside source. This is the only thing I can think of as to why people don't get how to connect to a phone. Holds my z flip 3 perfectly along the hinge with very little sway. I look forward to using and figuring out the best ways to use this.
