My grandson enjoys the video about dinosaurs

I bought this because my 4 year old is obsessed with dinosaurs, I wasnt sure whether he would like it since it was a documentary but overall he has enjoyed watching it. Parts of the movie are a bit boring but overall it has some great depictions of dinosaurs and it is a movie I can stand to watch with my son without getting to bored. The collection is long and is on two discs so you might not make it through the whole movie.

Wow! My granddaughter loves this DVD. National Geographic has a way of educating children and adults alike through fun.

Bought this to show my 4th grade students and they love it. They beg to watch more even though we are finished with the unit. Can't wait to show my kids at home. They love dinosaurs and will think these shows are terrific!

Santa brought this for our dinosaur obsessed pre-schooler. The information and variety of topics were outstanding. It allowed both he and I to both learn about dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures.

If your child is over 5 years old and interested in dinosaurs, get this. For a younger child or a child not interested in dinosaurs, this will not hold their interest for long. It is not as graphic or illustrative as one would hope. There is a lot of narration and the camera is focused on the scientists while explaining. There are no cutesy animations. I think this will be great for my son when he is older and can understand more of the words and comprehend all the wonderful information on this DVD. Until then, it will collect dust in favor of something a bit more toddler-friendly.

It’s a good collection

This was bought for a 5 year old who enjoys dinosaurs. Although well made and informative there's very little CGI dinosaur footage, which is what he was expecting, like the Walking With Dinosaurs Series.

This specific set is meant for sale in the USA, its territories and Canada.It's a 5-disk set: -Sea Monsters -Dinosaurs Decoded -T-Rex Walks Again -Bizarre Dinosaurs -Dino AutopsyThis set is made with the quality expected of National Geographic, so it's your call if you like the CGI or not. These disks feature the actual science and work behind the scenes of museum exhibits, not a possible story of what may have happened (like Walking with Dinosaurs or March of the Dinosaurs). Meant to be informative and potentially challenge what ideas and conceptions one may already have of these creatures with the help of new techniques and new fossil evidence.

This DVD set is a collection of series, rather than containing anything new and exciting. That does not make it a bad release (I found most of the content to be fairly enjoyable), but it will probably make purchasing this product tricky for some people since there is no product information listed by Amazon as to what those series are, or if it contains any of the same programs as  Dinosaurs - Extreme Survivors  or  Dinosaurs - Perfect Predators  (it does not, but there is no way to tell before making a purchase). It contains seven programs on two discs: When Diosaurs Roamed America, Valley of the T-Rex, Monsters Resurrected: T-Rex of the Deep, Clash of the Dinosaurs: The Defenders, Clash of the Dinosaurs: Generations, Dino Lab, Dino Lab II.
