decent value
They are nice and long easy to reach into dehydrated food pouches. Additionally, they are light weight and the tong function is useful. However, they are a bit on the flimsy side. The fork in particular might give you some trouble with spearing harder food.

Handy
These work great for salad tongues, or reaching to the bottom of your freeze dried food pouches. They seem a little fragile, but so far have worked well for their intended use. They take up very little room when stowed.

Bought these as a gift. I am waiting for the Titanium version. I'm curious to see if the Titanium version will work. You need a material that has some flexibility it seems to get use out of them it would seem and Titanium would be too ridged. If the fulcrum is placed much closer to the hinge that would put much more pressure on each piece at the fulcrum but maybe it could work. I'll be waiting to see if it gets past beta.

It's a lot longer than I expected it to be but I guess that comes with the aspect of using them as tongs. The only issue I have with them is that they're really hard to store and since they don't come with a case it just ends up going into a ziplock bag and shoved away in my pack.Definitely not for anyone looking to ultralight camp.

Definitely worth the money
Works exactly as advertised, a bit knacky at first but great product

Good idea, poor execution
For personal backpacking, tongs are phenomenal because they don't throw your food out of a pan like a spatula does. These tongs seek to fulfill that role as well as being an eating utensil. As a result, it doesn't do any of those jobs perfectly. They are too long and the plastic too elastic to be able to consistently pick up any chopped veggies heavier than a dice-sized carrot. As a spoon and fork, the edges are too sharp and they are uncomfortable to use. The edges also melted on the bottom of the pan I was using. Dedicated metal tongs and a metal spork suited my needs better.

too soft?
There's a fine line, I'm sure, between having the plastic soft enough to flex continuously without breaking and being stiff enough to be functional. I would prefer these to be a bit more rigid, but I don't know what that would mean for longevity. These have quite a bit of flex, and the fork tines especially don't need much pressure to distort. If TOAKS had a long handle version of the Titongs, I'd be all over it. The SprongS are suitable for some things, but aren't as versitile as I'd hoped. The search continues...

Perfect for Mountain House Camping Meals
These were super useful and sturdy. I didn't use them for cooking/stirring the pot or as tongs. I did use them to eat my re-hydrated Mountain House camping meals and they were a must have! The long handle allows you to eat easily out of the tall, plastic, Mountain House bag without getting food and sauce all over your hands. You can share the fork/spoon so that you don't have to buy two sets for two people. Any weight you can cut down one when backpacking, counts!
