I have purchased several of the Gear Oitim Watch Bands, Black Steel, for the Gear S3 Frontier. An excellent band to replace the original Gear S3 band, particularly if you like a metal band. Oitim provides a complete little tool kit with the band, a hammer, a molded plastic stand and little pin drivers so you can remove or replace individual links in the band to adjust the metal band size to fit your wrist. All pieces are well made, the links, the pins, everything. The Black Steel finish is durable. I've knocked the band into things accidentally (walls, door edges, etc) and the band is quite resistant to marring, scratching or other finish damage. I've worn one daily for several years - it still looks brand new and works perfectly. So, I bought another! The band fits perfectly on the Gear S3 Frontier. Any pulling or pinching of wrist arm hair when wearing the band? Answer: None. The band cleans up easily and nicely. The cost? A bargain. So-called 'breathability' good - no sweating as might occur with a solid plastic band. Zero instances of the link pins coming out or migration out of position. And, Oitim is nice enough (smart enough) to include not 2, but three spring rods, so you have a spare spring rod. Kudos to Oitim. The last few times I've gone to my local wireless phone store all of the sales people look at the band and say "Where did you get that? It looks great!".

Band arrive on time as advertised. The punch pin tools were a welcome bonus and the reason I purchased from this vendor in the first place. This tool allowed me to resize the band without having to pay a jeweler to do it. The punch hammer was soundly built. The three punches were very cheap and required the most delectate attention of use. They bent with the slightest use, very cheap and throw away material after a couple of uses. They got the job done. Quality needs improvement here. The punch block nicely built, and the cross patterns designed to fix several style bands. The band itself is solidly built. An exact color match of the Gear S3 Frontier watch. Comes with the pins needed to attach the band with the slide button release lever. Makes installing and removing the band easy. There are two long pieces of metal that fold on top of each other then a button clasp locks them in place. How to properly fold these took some time to get the hang of but work well. The band itself is light weight and comfortable.

Size adjustment / removing links - The included tools and parts to remove links is very generous. Removing a link was very easy, as long as you follow the instructions and make sure you push the pin out in the proper direction. You can identify the correct direction - the side to PUSH is slightly indented.I have a pretty thick wrist and still had to remove a link, possiby two.The color and finish matches the S3 very wellThe quality is 'acceptable', not great. The outside of the clasp has a small dimple in the center, looks like the bar on the other side bent it out. This can be cause by soft / thin metal. It's noticeable, but small enough a photo probably wouldn't pick it up. If it was a higher quality metal, I doubt it would do this. I"m not too worried as this is where the band will rub on the desk as I write or type, and eventually get scratched up like any other band.The bands 'looseness / flexibility" to twist left and right is a bit more than I would expect a superior quality band to have. However, this flexibility keeps the band comfortable as you twist and move your wrist. Whether this is intentional or not, it works. The Gear S3 has a bit of 'looseness' itself. The dial on the S3 is a bit looser than it should be. So, ironically, the looseness of the band matches the S3 perfectly :)To sum it up, I would be willing to pay twice as much for a band that is a bit higher quality. However, for $20, this is band is well worth the price. Even if I find another band I like better, I would not return this band out of respect for the exceptional packaging (parts/tools). At this time, this band is my favorite I've found so far.

Great band for the price! The large band that came with the frontier s3 was too small. 2nd from last hole was tight and very last hole was ok until you started sweating then arm would swell and then band was too tight. This metal band was actually too big! Lol. I had to remove 3 links total, 1 from one side and 2 from other to keep clasp somewhat centered. It was made easy with tools included. Make sure you push pins OUT in direction of arrows on backside of band then just the opposite for putting it back together. The pins are one directional in that they are swedged or staked on one side. If pin doesn't slide in easily then just turn it around and repeat. Be sure to give pins a slight tap with punch on reassembly to be sure they're seated. Band is heavyweight and matches color of s3 perfectly. Even though it's heavy off the wrist, it practically disappears while wearing compared to factory band that was almost giving me a case of athletes wrist! Lol. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the slight gap in between watch and band in which the factory band was curved to fill this gap. I still would much rather have this metal one in terms of comfort and style. Don't hesitate if factory band irritates your wrist or if it's too small for you. As far as durability, it's still too early for my opinion, but it seems to be well built and great quality. Btw- this review is for the XL/large band from this seller. Thanks for reading. A product worth it's price. This is good quality strap. I've worn it for about 3 weeks now. I do not treat it gently. It shows no wear. I had to remove a link but that wasn't a problem with the kit that came with it.

Honnestly I was skeptical about this band but honestly I'm using for almost 2weeks now and I love it! I'm a big guy so I have big wirst and trust me if you think this band is small well you have hella wrist!I highly recommend this item 10/10
