Retro IDE
I bought this for a retro 486 laptop. I was able to xcopy contents of hdd to the cf card in a pcmcia adapter, but the ancient bios would not recognize it internally for use as the primary drive. It makes an excellent very large second drive though!

Didn't Work For My Purpose
I rated this item 4 stars for the quality and shipping. It didn't work for my embroidery purposes - tried to transfer embroidery designs from computer to machine. My XP computer died and I had to start all over again - new software etc.I eventually was able to reconnect my transfer program to my machine after setting up everything. So I didn't need this product after all. It wouldn't work anyway. Probably not the products fault - things just change in the tech world very often. Therefore, I cannot honestly say what benefit it will be to anyone else.

Used, but works
At this point these cards are obviously used since they haven't made them in a while, so keep that in mind when purchasing in 2022 and beyond. The one I received even still had data from the previous owner on it. It's probably a bit overpriced as you can get them cheaper elsewhere, but it works perfectly for retro computing use in the PCMCIA CF adapter of my Amiga 1200. SanDisk is the way to go. I've had issues with other brands of 8gb cards, but this one works flawlessly.

Went on fire -- might have been device/adapter that caused this
Purchased this for retro/vintage computing purposes, and it got really hot and went on fire. I'm skeptical the flash card was the problem, versus the device it was plugged into, but nevertheless, it was the card that went on fire!

Actually labelled as Ultra not Ultra II
The image is correct and the title needs updating. This is labelled as an Ultra card not Ultra II as listed, however there is some confusion on web forums as to whether Sandisk have re badged their cards as such.Regardless at this price it's as cheap as other Ultra & Ultra II listings, the billed speed is twice that of Ultra II and the card seems decent enough in My D-200. Formats and reads quickly in a card reader and is furnished with Sandisk's 10 year guarantee. No problems.Nice to be able to take over 900 Jpegs without changing card :)
