Worked well to replace the original MLP403048 battery in my JBL Micro Wireless Bluetooth Speaker
I own a 2013 JBL "Micro Wireless" Bluetooth speaker which is the similar-looking predecessor to the JBL "Clip" series. The capacity of my 2013 JBL "Micro Wireless" speaker's 600mAh, 3.7V Li-Po battery (MLP403048) decreased gradually over the years, but it decreased greatly in the 9th year. Originally it used to last for an entire day (7-8 hours) of music listening while snow-skiing in the cold. By 2023, it only lasted ~2 hours in the cold. When I tested it via Bluetooth at room temperature (which is easier on the battery), it lasted ~6 hours. After replacing the battery with this 800mAh Starnovo battery, the same test at room temperature ran for 12.5 hours (at the exact same speaker-volume setting, playing the exact same playlist via Bluetooth at the same distance with the same phone-volume-setting). Hopefully, this battery will last for many years to come. If possible, I'll revise this review if the battery fails prematurely. The original battery had 3-wires; red, black & white. This Starnovo battery also has 3 wires; red, black & yellow. After doing research, I found that the yellow wire seems to have the same functionality as the white wire. It charged perfectly and stopped charging when full. One slight complaint is that the wires were shorter than the original wires, and so (after soldering them in), they were just BARELY, BARELY long enough after stretching them taught. But apparently this battery was designed as a replacement for the JBL "Micro 2" (not my JBL "Micro Wireless"), so maybe the wire length is adequate for the JBL Micro 2.
