We have a plastic case holding all of our important papers, and a bit more. See pics.Given fires and other manmade disasters, it was time to get a holder for these documents which will survive most of them.I liked the fire and water protection. I’m well aware that it won’t survive a real flood or fire, but it is meant to be quickly removed and brought to safety.For us, it helped with prioritization. Obviously, we have too many documents that we added to ‘most important’. The main reason is human nature, and one tend to collect as much as needed to fill up the given space.This organizer bag has about 25% of the volume of our plastic one. It forces us to check each document, and trim down to the real ‘needed’. A great incentive, and with a good payback, as this holder has good fire/heat and water protection. It is quite sturdy, and of course the water/fire protection adds an unpleasant feel to the material. Small price to pay for what seems to be a durable bag.

This bag is not lightweight. It feels very sturdy in the hand. It is supposed to be fireproof, but I did not throw it in a fire to test that. I see that another reviewer did that and it seemed to work. The bag itself is very well-made. The zippers function flawlessly. It is made of a material that feels flexible and rubbery, but it's not rubber. I don't know what the material is. There are plenty of pockets inside for your important documents. I use it to store family photos that I want to protect from fire. Also, important things like passports and car ownership documents, as well as personal documents can fit in there. Like I said, it's got lots and lots of room inside. It is not a hard-sided case. The sides and top are flexible. There is a handle and a handy locking feature too. There is a luggage strap if you plan to carry it with you. I don't know what provides the insulation to protect the contents from fire. But, the sides are fairly thick. Whatever the material is, it looks like it will do the job. I am very happy with this bag and think it will do the job as described.

I was looking for something to put misc. important things in & saw this.It holds plenty - the depth + the organizing flaps and pockets inside provide lots of room for whatever you want protected.I’m not convinced the lock is for security - it seems to be more for closing the zippers tightly to provide maximum protection inside. I’m not going to try it, but I can see them being cut right through if someone wanted to!But having this in your home will keep valuable things dry & not burned, so all good for that purpose.**Thank you for reading my review & I hope that it’s Helpful!**

Yes it locks but it came with no instructions on how to set the combo lock I accidently locked the zipper after trying to set a combo to lock it locked me out combo didn't work the master combo did not work ro unlock bag I had to cut off the zipper inorder to get my paperwork out ruined the bag no good now I tryed to contact the manufacturer got no reply so garbage bag and I do not recommend at all find a different one but not this one did not like at all

It is an organizer bag. Only expands as you fill it up. No explanation on how to use lock. Mine was stuck would not unlock so had to send back. If it would stay open and not collapse I would of ordered another one
