Picked this up on a whim on a day trip to the city shopping centre because it looked cute. My new fella saw me flicking through the pages curiously and decided to treat me to it. It sat on my shelf for a few months before I finally sat down and gave it a read.I flew through this volume and knew I wanted to read more so I'm ordering volume 2. The protagonist is relatable, her adopted kitten is adorable and reminds me so much of my friend's tuxedo kitty.It reminded me very much of an anime called "My Roommate is a Cat."If you enjoy "My Roommate is a Cat" and "A Man and his Cat", you'll like this too.Slice-of-life cat-owner manga seems to be becoming it's own genre at the moment.

I have wanted this manga since i laid my eyes on it! Im currently reading The Walking Cat: A Cat's-Eye-View of the Zombie Apocalypse BUT i cant wait to read this manga soon i will start it! I love cats & i collect retro games :)

Wife finished it and is requesting the second volume. She loves it and said it’s cute, funny, and totally relatable.For the couple reviews that are upset saying the book is backwards, it’s supposed to be, its a MANGA 🤦🏽‍♂️

I am neither a cat person or a gamer or Japanese or even femaie but I love this book!! I think it is hard to find a translated Manga book that has the universal appeal that this does. Just look at that cat on the cover! I do wish that they would color the black and white art work within but I still enjoyed this version and volume 2 as well.

Those who love cats and video games will find a lot to like here. The story is about a young woman who is quiet at work but boisterous and loud at home when she's gaming alone. Her life changes dramatically when she brings a stray cat home and feels completely at a loss on how to care for it. That is until she relates raising a cat to leveling up characters in video games. The plot is quirky and the book is a fun read.
