I use this for neck pain and because it's a bit bigger than the neck wrap, it works better and for longer. Excellent product that work well when my neck is painful or stiff. I heat it for 1 min 30 seconds in the microwave.

The item arrived promptly and all packaging was in good shape.The product itself is wonderful. I bought two.What makes this product special?1. It does not harden when it freezes. It remains soft and pliable2. It is shaped to fit the body and is held in place by a soft Velcro closure so there is no reason you have to “hold” it in place.3. Because it is shaped it applies equal cold to all sides, no having to switch it around4. The cold is mild. There is no need to wrap a second layer over the ice gel in order to wear it comfortably5. Non-toxic, non-leak gelThe down side:1. More expensive than conventional ice packs2. Can’t get wet.

Loses one star for being extremely heavy and one star for no way to clean and starts tosmell like because it absorbs smells of food from the microwave (no matter how hard you cleanyour microwave) after 3 warm ups.... also kind of hard to handle (for me). I'm 5'4" and a pretty fit / strong120 pounds.BUT The s/m size is perfect for me. It does stay flexible when frozen! Amazing! I can lie on it andsleep in it.. wonderful. Good thing - you can wear it for your back or wear it for yourfront pelvic pain/bladder (I have a sensitive bladder / IC) and wow, ice on a bladder flare is awesome! The velcro is greatand works well but the straps are so long for me they almost wrap around it back to the front. I think that they should makean xtra--small size for a better fit for smaller people (even a child size?). Also they should offer a "lite" version that is 1/2 thethickness for us lightweights. I like that it's blue but wish it was black (or my choice of colors?). It does take up a lot of space in my freezer though I don't like that...however I'm very glad thatI ordered TWO of them... always have one ready! They heat up from freezer to hot from microwave in a about4 minutes depending on the microwave....but do smell of food now ugh and can't get the gel out to clean it really -though I'll try again...Great for low back / tailbone or sacroiliac pain. Isbetter than popping pills for pain, but I still do that too. It can't be worn under clothing without looking very bulky but I've wornit while driving and that works very well and is great on a freezing morning (when it's hot). Truck drivers or anyone who go a long distance / this is highly recommended -but freeze it for a long time prior to driving. So it's great for treatment, -----------------but due to the nature of the need, you just can't avoidthese small compromises (weight / freezer space, food smell - hard to clean and can't wear under clothing). BUT HAPPY WITH PURCHASE for comfort and pain relief and portablity. So 3 stars...oh and the little dif flap thing for your tailbone? That tends to start to flip up over time and stick out (if you are not sitting on it) and that looks really stupid and doesn't touch your tailbone if you are walking around (at least it sticks out and up like a weird tail on me). Huh.

I had one these products before - the one for the knee - and I used it also for my back. But because this is specifically designed for the back it works very well. Love the dual way of use - heat and cold.

I bought this during a recent bout of sacroiliac pain. It is adjustable enough that it fit over my stomach through some....fluctuations in weight. It has a dip in the back in order to cover the sacrum as well as the lumbar area which is important for those with pain from L4 and below. The velcro in the front is divided into two parts, so the ice pack doesn't curl or slide. My only complaint is that it doesn't stay cold for very long, but one is really only supposed to keep ice on for 15-20 minutes at a time anyway. I also have a similar pack for the shoulder which is great. It's worth the extra money if you're going to have a chronic problem.

I bought this for my sister who had major back surgery and it worked awesomely. I was originally introduced to this brand by my chiropractor and fell in love with it. My sister loved it and used it after her surgery and couldn't have made it without it, at least not as comfortably. Then I used it after I had a hysterectomy and it made things so much easier. Covered my stomach and stayed comfortably cold a long while. I still use it almost 6 weeks out to make my stomach feel better. Really helped us both so much! WE are buying my Dad a knee one for after his knee replacement surgery we loved it so much!!

Too heavy and cumbersome to use. I like my old one, which is falling apart. Much lighter, not as heavy and easy to warm up in the microwave. This one is too heavy and has long cumbersome velcro strips.

This product comes in 2 sizes and I previously ordered the L/XL. It turns out that even the S/M size also works great for me in spite of my large girth. This wrap is so versatile that i have used it around my ankle, elbow (Tennis elbow) and shoulders and it stays in place very well thanks to the long straps. Many people might give a lower rating for this the wrap because the velcro on the straps can mess up the cover of the wrap and cause picks. This is true - the manufacturer should use a stronger fabric. However, i am rating the wrap on how long it stays cold (about 45 minutes), how versatile it is (can use on many body parts) and how long it lasts (it cannot leak). It is a superior product. The vendor sent this to me a week sooner than my wrap order from Amazon so i was very happy with their promptness.
