WDT Tool and Self-Aligning Stand | Black

I was using regular pins to break up lumps in my freshly ground espresso powder, to which my husband proclaimed that I am a "weirdo" and a crazy person. He accidentally spilled my pins down the drain a couple of times too. I researched WDT tools, watched online tutorials and read user reviews which lead me to the FusedLine WDT. It's more expensive than some of them on the market but it really fits the bill.PROS:- The thin needles do an excellent job of quickly and efficiently raking the grounds.-Works much better than regular pins or sewing needles.- The end result is a smooth and complete extraction and a nice dry puck.- The tool allows you to customize from 1 to 10 needles. I use five at a time and it works perfectly.- The holder keeps the needles in place for use and storage purposes- The the holder looks professional and sleek, and not "weird"CONS:-It is fairly expensive, there are cheaper models on the market but I think it was worth the price.-It would be nice if the holder would close completely rather than have an open front that leaves the needles exposed to dust, etc.OVERALL:Recommended!! Works great. Perfect little tool for espresso geeks.Who's the weirdo now? Not this gal!

If you make your own espresso at home this tool is absolutely needed, in my opinion, to consistently make great espresso and break down any large clumps. It is 3D printed however feels sturdy enough. Comes with extra pines, in case you lose or break any, as well as a tube to store the extra pins. I like that you can choose how many pins you want to use and their placement. overall great purchase

It is easy to use, the WDT needles can be changed (if you wish to experiment), the base is surprisingly weighted to prevent accidental movement. It does require assembly, but it takes less than 5 minutes and is easily done as long as you have a clean work space and aren't interrupted. Well worth the money and it will definitely improve your workflow and results.

The media could not be loaded.  This WDT tool has really elevated my espresso game! This tool is well made and allows you to choose how many needles you’d like to use. It looks right at home on my coffee bar.My shots are much more consistent and using my bottomless portafilter, I have noticed a drastic improvement with channeling.I definitely recommend using this with a dosing funnel to avoid some coffee spilling out as you stir.10/10!

Easy to use, unscrew the cap, stick in the pins, screw it back on, and you are ready to go. Works great for espresso and improved the extraction. One star off for the base. It is made of the same plastic material as the tool, which is relatively lightweight and therefore not very stable. It would be perfect it is made from something heavier. But overall good quality for the price (not sure why WDT tools has to be expensive).

This has been a great product to use so far. It gives the impression of a basic enough 3D-printed product, but wow does it work well!I really like being able to replace the needles if one breaks (no issues so far). Being able to configure the needle pattern is also neat, but I don’t see a particular use for that yet. The best part is how sturdy the base is - I wasn’t expecting it to be that way!This is the perfect addition to my espresso set-up. Definitely recommend!

Got the needles in a nice tube, the WDT, and the stand. Everything's there. Easy to assemble and came with instructions how to do it.Minor complaints:-needles probably aren't that strong. Gotta be gentle when putting it on the stand. The needles will go all the way to touch the bottom and if you use too much force they might snap.-the way the WDT sits on the stand feels plastic-y and bendy instead of things just securely snapping into place securely.The needles bend a lot when you go deep into the filter basket... but it did give me more resistance and less spraying when making espresso so a WDT is an upgrade for sure.

The price of this item shocked me at first. Its a 3D printed WDT tool and some needles. However, I love that the needles are replaceable and you can configure their arrangement. I dropped my previous WDT tool on the ground, the needles broke, and I couldn't replace them. This one, not an issue. As far as the price goes, I don't own a 3D printer nor do I possess 3D printing skills - that's what you're paying for here and in my opinion the price is fair for that.

Me gustó que tiene su estante abierto, y las agujas están en ángulo, no rectas.Solo cabe mencionar que el plástico es de impresión 3D. La verdad no me lo esperaba. Hace que de vea mas "barato" (y lo está en comparación a otras opciones) pero para lo que sirve, distribuir el café molido en el portafiltro, no hay queja

Great quality, included stand a must. Makes distributing coffee grinds so much easier! I started with all pins installed but found that it works better with only the outer ones, so now I have 4 spares. Definitely recommended, but use with a dosing funnel is even better to keep the process fast and the workspace clean.

No sé cómo podía preparar espressos sin conocer las herramientas WDT! Esta herramienta es una maravilla! Mis shots de espresso mejoraron 200%! Ada de grumos ni canalización!

Thank you for this great tool. It’s very well built and the weighted base really helps keep it from tipping over.
