Despite the description, this stand is nowhere near big enough for a 17" laptop. My laptop is only slightly over 16" and it could not support that.In my first attempt, I extended the stand to about 1/2 its height, with the top level. I carefully placed my laptop on top of it, and... the whole thing toppled over backward! By tilting the top forward, little by little, I eventually got the stand to support my laptop. This was at an angle of about 30°, so my keyboard and trackpad were practically unusable at this point.Next, I tried typing, even at this angle. Any time I hit a key near the edge of the keyboard, the stand would wobble from side to side. My laptop was sticking out almost 5" beyond the stand's base on each side, after all.Overall, while the stand's top might be able to support the weight of a 17" laptop, the base is just not heavy enough to provide stability for anything that extends much beyond its 7.6" x 8.3" footprint.

First time writing a review. This product made me so happy that I finally wanted to write one.1- I had originally chosen a stand more expensive, but it was not adjustable. 2- Then I chose one adjustable (also more expensive). It would have matched my grey computer. 3- But *then* I found this option. It was less expensive, and only came in the silver color. Since I’d never tried a laptop stand before, I decided to start with this one. Wow.Right away I was amazed by how sturdy it was. Also, the options for positions & adjusting are 💯. It felt so helpful to have this stand, and it made my space feel more beautiful.I was laughing because I thought, “Next week (or tmrw 🤣), when something goes wrong, I just want to remember this moment and how pleased and thankful I am right now. In that future moment, I will have comfort knowing that my computer stand will always be something to be grateful for.” 😆😩👏🏼🛐Though all (entirely) is something to be grateful for.Amen guys.Stay silly… and grateful for our laptop stands. I use this to put my laptop on it. It is sturdy and doesn't wobble like other ones that I've tried. The height level can be adjusted. There is a tool that comes with it; it's used to adjust how tight/loose the swivel is. My laptop is a 2010 (I think, it's been too long) macbook pro. The laptop is about 10 years old so it's heavy. The laptop stand can handle its weight no problem. If you need one, this is the one to get.

Works great with my MacBook Air! It’s super sturdy and gets to the perfect height when I sit it on my table. Now I can look forward instead of down, all bunched over to see. One thing that was not a surprise to me, it’s less stable if you extend it too high(basically all the way extended). It will not have enough counterbalance to keep it from tipping backward. I can get it pretty high before that point though. Happy with this purchase. Plus I love that it comes in pink 😁

This stand has help save my neck and back from working off my tiny laptop. I find my fans run less often due to the increased airflow.One minor issue- the base has a slight warped corner that cause a noticeable lean. I was able to fit it by putting some furniture protector gel points on the bottom.

I love it! I bought this because I'm working with a laptop on a small desk, to maximize space. It exceeds expectations! Brings my laptop screen to eye level and closer to me. Just loving it!!!

Beautiful!! Love the quality and the support! I have a big laptop (15”) and it is pretty heavy as well, and the support that this base gives is absolutely amazing. Really one of those things that I would buy again if I needed to.

It is easy to adjust and has many ways to adjust to help you work on your computer laptop comfortably!
