NYDJWomen's Marilyn Straight Denim Jean

If they fit right, they're definitely worth the price.
Wow. I just looked and the price went up to $129. I paid $78 and I thought that was high. But just keep an eye on them, the price fluctuates a lot.I really want to help people decide whether to get these jeans or not. I pore over the reviews first, and at this price, as much info as possible helps. :)Here goes... I'm 5'7" about 135 lbs. with a long torso and a thick waist. I literally have no bum, thanks to a recent surgery, so I pretty much live in leggings with long shirts. I used to live in jeans (Calvin Klein-always fit perfect) and now the material just hangs there. Bummer! Anyway, a friend told me to try NYDJ as everyone she knows loves them. I decided on the Marilyn, because I like a straight leg. I chose the Lombard shade, because I like a medium shade of blue that has a grayish, acid-washed tint. This shade also has whiskering. I have to say, I LOVE this shade! I ordered a size 8 after reading the company's advice and most of the reviews. They are right. DEFINITELY go down a size from your normal one. I usually wear an 8 or 10. I thought about going down to a 6, and if I wanted them tight and form-fitting, I probably could have, but I like my clothes loose-fitting. That being said, the 8 was a little more loose than I like. I almost needed a belt, which with my thick waist, I almost never do. The fabric is a thicker, heavier jean material than I like. They also are kind of stiff. They probably would get softer with washing and wear. I don't think they would shrink, even putting them in the dryer, due to the stretch of the material. The length was just a tad long, probably a 32", but I was barefoot. They probably would be fine with a small heel. I have to admit I really liked them. They checked off all the boxes.EXCEPT... remember my lack of bum to fill it out. I SO wanted them to work. But realistically, at that price, I just couldn't keep them. I'm probably stuck with leggings and long shirts for the rest of my life.SO... if you can get past the price, I think most women would love these. The fit is flattering to most figures. They're casual, yet you could easily add a nice blouse and heels or boots, to dress them up. Don't forget these are straight-leg, not skinny or bootcut. There are a lot of shades/washes to choose from. AND DEFINITELY SIZE DOWN!I hope this review can help you make up your mind. Cheers!

Worth the trouble to hem them!
These jeans, sized down as the manufacturer recommends, are the absolute best jeans I have ever worn! My first pair of NYDJ jeans and they will be my go-to from now on. I have a pear-shaped body, with a small frame and am 5'4"-borderline petit. Normally I am a size 4, but I got a 2 in these and the fit was perfect except that they were too long; I had to take 4 1/2" off of the length. The fabric is so comfortable, with just the right weight for the warm climate where I live, and just the right amount of stretch to be comfortable. Jeans are very personal, and every body is different, but I am in love. The dark tonal wash is really a blue, but a very dressy dark blue. And the pockets with the extra detailing really make them stand out more than a typical pair of jeans. For me, it was totally worth the trouble to hem them!

Great Fit for
To be honest, I returned as I already have similar style. I have the shape of a typical 65 year old, thick through the mid section. Nice fit, comfortable with enough stretch in much needed places. Would have kept if I didn't already have similar style.

Best Fitting Jeans for My Body
These jeans fit my body so well. If you have an ample rear end and a smaller waist you might like them too! They're well constructed and fit the curves. I have them in three denim shades and one pair of pants that aren't denim. They're all my favorites!

What is with these pockets?
I love NYDJ jeans and have worn them for years. They're super comfortable, shape flattering, and hold up very well. I was ready for a new pair and ordered these without a second thought. When they arrived I tried them on right away, they fit perfectly and I put them away. I finally decided to wear them yesterday and when I put them on, once again I was very pleased with the fit. However, for the first time I put my hands in my front pockets. Or, at least I tried to put my hands in my front pockets. They are so tiny that a tube of lipstick would not fit in there. What the heck were they thinking when they designed this particular style? I should add these are regular full length jeans, nothing fancy, not capris or leggings, etc. Unfortunately for me, I was so used to getting these jeans and loving them I never thought to try the pockets. By the time I decided to actually wear them I missed my return window by about two weeks (my last day to return them was March 14). So now I am stuck with jeans that I can't even stuff a tissue into the front pocket. I'm sure I'll persevere and there are certainly worse things that could happen to a person, but it's just another annoyance to put up with when you expect better.

I love this brand.
Very nice stretch. Do order down a size. The Jean material is exactly the color shown. Its thick jean material with lots of stretch. While putting them on and pulling to my waist i thought they were going to be to tight and nope zipped them up and perfect. No muffin top at the waist. These will last for years. I'm 70 and the ripped jeans aren't my style. They are a little pricey, but the quality is there. Oh, one more thing, they are long and you'll need to hem unless you wear high heal. The measurement guide is right on.

Best. Jeans. Ever.
I bought two pairs of these NYDJ blue jeans (dark wash and light wash) and I basically live in them. They are long enough for me - I am 5'7" with a short waist. And the waist band is never too tight. I am not skinny and I appreciate how incredibly comfortable they are around my middle. Because there is some stretch in the denim fabric, they are comfortable all over. I will always wear these over any other brand.

Heavy Cotton blend, Not true denim
This is NYJD quality pant, but is Not Denim. It is a heavy cotton blend fabric with a light sheen, good quality. I have not laundered yet, so I am no sure if the color will fade like jean material does. I gave 4 stars only because the description says Denim. Sizing is consistent with NYJD jeans. The print is unusual for NYDJ, but is very pretty. Vibrant blue and white floral with small gold "dit". The length is appropriate, just below ankle. I like them.

Siempre me gustan
Son exelentes, cómodos, vestidores, pero si tienes que tener mucho cuidado de secarlos en lo más bajo de la secadora.
