Don't expect to use this like a garden hose, it has been made with recycled rubber and becouse it is very pourus it is quite easy to break. I think the Idea is to bury it in the ground where you intend to irrigate your plants as i have done, and connect the garden hose when you want to water your plants, but only turn the tap on to a trickle or you will probably damage the hose and get jets of water spurting out everywhere!A gravity fed water butt is all that is required for this to work, so dont turn your tap on full blast!!what I do is to turn the tap on first, so i get just a trickle then connect my garden hose. Works a treat.

I bought same last year but different manufacturer & it didn’t last the season eventually was in about 4 lengths The one I’ve just bought won’t be used till next spring

Bought this to water a steep bank in the garden which was difficult to water using a can. When connected water slowly trickles from the hose saturating the soil. The good thing is the water does not run off when watering as it would do when using a can or hose. I didn't give 5 stars because I only started using it recently and do not know what the long term reliability will be

Terrible product. Do not buy if you need to use the hosepipe on anything other than a downward incline from the top. The water floods out the hose close to the tap and does not reach all the way to the end. Split after a few uses with large holes at the first part. Starts to drip right by the tap so unless your flower beds start right under your tap, you are going to waste water.
