Yeah its simple and safe but trying to make a design that requires getting the holes close together can sometimes cave your pumpkin's face in. Like I think the design in the picture itself would be rough unless you start in the middle and work your way out. Just be careful when tapping it in next to other cuts. Just tap it in, tap tap it in.

I ordered these thinking it would make pumpkin carving easier for my 6 year old son. While it did make it easier, and possible, adult assistance was definitely still needed. But honestly, I love these! It takes a lot of the tedious work out of pumpkin carving (taping a stencil to a round surface, poking tiny holes into the pumpkin etc). And they are super sturdy. Used them twice and still no bending. Now if only they had more shapes....

This is by far the best idea for carving and kiddos. I got a rubber mallet from dollar tree and all three kiddos loved it. So simple, cool activity and easy clean up. I have twin 3 hear olds and an 8 year old they loved it.

Pro: Feels child safe, not sharpCon: Too dull to cut pumpkins without cracking. Our pumpkin cracked when we got to the nose, after managing pop out the eyes. We had to have two adults on the job, one holding the pumpkin from inside to provide support for the hammering and the other tapping the mallet on the cutter.

These carving kit are very sturdy. They are definitely more for adult or older kids use. My goddaughter that’s 6 years old was not able to do it herself without our help. You really need to hammer in the stencils. Otherwise it was easy to use and I would buy again.

I just received this and I’m so excited to try it out! My kids are older so I thought this would be a little Halloween just for me. I am buying a pumpkin this weekend and I’m going to make it look awesome from this mold kit.

Unfortunately not all the cutters were included in our package. We returned and made it work this year. Hopefully next year we'll have better luck!

Worked really well!! Did not bend & was super Easy! Highly recommend, esp if doing with kids.
