Otto's Tales: Today is September 11th

Respectful, tactful, clever
I was initially skeptical that this topic could or should be covered in a children's book, especially in an effective manner, but PragerU managed to pull it off. This book deals with a potentially sensitive topic (which is generally going to be significantly more touchy for the parents reading it than for the kids listening) in a manner that manages to be not only respectful, but tactful, informative (sufficient for a young child), clever, and pleasant to look at. It doesn't (and can't) let your child experience what it was like to be alive on 9/11, but neither can any experience or piece of media—any more than I can ever know what it was like to live through the JFK assassination, the moon landing, or either world war. It does impart the important take-aways, though. My 4-year-old loved seeing the pictures and hearing the story, and it's made this book a valuable part of her collection.

My kids love this story.
I am very pleased at how well this book deals with a very difficult topic, and I have admit, I cry when I read this book. This book is a great way to keep America’s promise to never forget. The illustrations are just fabulous.

Excellent. Another wonderful book from Prager-U
I remember about five years ago being shocked and very sad my neighbor's kids Weren't being taught the truth about 9/11. Since we homeschool, my older kids learned the facts but not much beyond that.Living in a society that is bent on denying reality, this book is needed. It faces the truth of what happened along with the bravery demonstrated by the men an women present at ground zero. Along with truth and reverence, my children will be learning about bravery and sacrifice.Well done. Again, my only criticism is I would happily purchase a hardcover, and I would rather buy directly from anyone but Amazon. Thank you for being a source of goodness and truth in these dark days.

VERY WELL done!
Prager University does everything well and this September 11th book is no exception!! Succinct and clear the message is not inflammatory, but simple. On this date a terrible tragedy occurred. Absolutely age appropriate for my 4 and 5 year olds. There was no fear - just explaining the events. This is a very difficult topic to share with young children but I feel strongly that my class should be aware of these significant events like this. I trust Prager University to provide information I can trust.

Love PragerU
I so appreciate Prager U and everything they're doing to help kids learn correct history and correct principles. This book was great for my kids. It taught about 9/11 in a very sensitive but serious manner, while still being entertaining for kids due to the introduction of a fun character. My husband read the very end, where it contains additional details about 9/11, and he broke down crying, which then led the rest of us to cry tears of sorrow and admiration for those that lost their lives that day. Truly an inspiring and educational book worthy of any home or community library.

Great education of true American history - unbiased
PragerU represents the true American value - the one we came here for. We buy all PragerU books for the kids to grow up to love their country, not hate their country. It's totally fine to note all the imperfectness of America, but it is still the best country on this earth. Go elsewhere if you hate it. Try living in a totalitarian country and be completely deprived of freedom of speech and religion.

History in story form
My kids love these books even my three year old insists that I read the Otto’s tales books to him while he potty trains. It’s a great way to discuss this important day in our national history and for the kids to learn about patriotism when America was threatened. I definitely recommend this book.

Excellent for an understanding
Excellent for an understanding of September 11 for children. This is part of a series with Dennis and his dog. They are wonderful and do a great job explaining whatever date, or subject, the book is about. The latest is on Veterans Day. It is also excellent.
