I have never been happy with my portable podcasting sound and have been looking for a way to improve it. I need a mic kit that will be sturdy enough to travel with yet not cost a fortune. I was happy to discover the Maono PM461T kit. The mic stand puts the mic in good position on a desk and enables the user to move it to where they can get the best results. The mic and stand can be quickly assembled or taken apart and they it seems sturdy enough for me to put in my travel bag without worry. Overall the sound was pleasantly surprising for the cost of the mic while others at this level usually do not have the feature of a gain nob like this unit has providing additional flexibility. If I was to have one thing improved it would be to add a headphone output on the mic, but with that said I have not seen any at this price point that has that feature and it is far from a deal breaker since I have the mic near the computer anyway.If you are looking to get started in livestreams, podcasts, Twitch streams or other forms of recording this may be a great mic to get you started on your way.

this is a great USB mic ... although not for singing because there is a latency -- mainly because it's using the USB protocol ... but overall -- great for voice and voice make-over when doing your own video ...and -- you can't beat the price ...

I’ll be honest I was a bit skeptical of this mic when I first got it, the stand isn’t the best in the world, the shock mount is good and so is the pop filter, but the stand is meh. It gets the job done. Now as far as sound quality, I was happily surprised with the mic! Not a ton of noise, or at least not too much that it’s difficult to remove in post processing. The gain knob is a very nice thing to have and being usb makes it a lot easier to record with than having to use an XLR cable. Overall I’d definitely recommend this mic!

Super good microphone for the price point! It’s durable, comes with a shock mount, pop filter, and movable stand. VERY good for the price! A little different to put together then the traditional usb mic, but in ways it’s good because it’s different.
