We live in an apartment complex in Southern California. Homeless people come into our garage all the time to hide, try to get into cars, do drugs and worse. I needed a wireless camera to alert me when they were coming in. I tried a Ring, but even with a WiFi repeater, it wouldn't work where we needed it to work. At a friend's suggestion, I tried this. I was blown away, it just works! The app makes it easy to customize what it alerts you about. The battery life is insane. A full charge will last a month or more! I bought a second one, for a different view and to always have at least one there while the other one charges, since charging takes several hours.The cameras helped me be able to go down and shoo them out, and other than yesterday it had been weeks since anyone trespassed into our garage.

I initially was going to buy the Ring doorbell but my son as an older version of the Eufy Solo Cam & suggested it. I’m very happy with it. The image is clear day or night, has a spotlight that will come on when it detects human motion, through the app I get alerts that a person is at the front door, it’s wireless. Installation is easy, brings a bracket and 4 screws & anchors, (only need 2 screws). Rechargeable however must be screwed off the bracket, easy. Battery last 2 months and will take 8 hours to charge. My son runs a cable from the camera to an outlet to recharge so he doesn’t take it down.

Edit: Jan 25. Owned it a few months now still very happy with it. Also the mount for it wasn’t loose like some said.Good picture quality. At night I don’t use the floodlight, so it is black and white at night. If you set it to turn on the built-in floodlight at night when motion is detected it will be in color. You can even set what area sets off the motion, I have it set to exclude the street at the bottom of the stairs.Also that they don’t require a monthly cloud subscription, like many other cameras stick you with. I will sign up for their cloud when I go traveling. I also watched reviews on YouTube that were very positive!I really recommend it.

I have numerous Eufy battery cameras. The small square Eufy Cam 2C and the bullet style Eufy Cam battery cameras. I have a door bell camera which we love. We also have indoor pan and tilt cameras and stationary cameras as well. All of which we have had good luck with the motion detection, night vision, and internet connectivty so you can view remotely. The motion detections are programable and the recordings are more than accetable for me. I have also never had any issues with setting up any of these devices.This SoloCam L20 was difficult to install even through it was a foot or two away from my modum and took several times to get it connected. I was finally able to get it installed and mounted it on the rear exterior wall of my house viewing the backyard. This camera is in the shade so I do not believe the summer heat would affect it. When I want to view the camera, it always, always, always has difficulty connecting to the internet when I want to view the back yard remotely and I have had to restart that camera over and over and over to get it up and running. After a restart it works great for a few hours so this leads me to believe that the placement is fine for being connected to the internet.I can only hope that Eufy's quality is going down with the introduction of newer lines of cameras. This would be bad since all their other stuff seems to be long lasting and reliable.

I’ve only had the solocam l20 installed about a week, but so far so good. Arrived quickly and nicely packaged. Set up easily. I already use a wired Eufy video doorbell, and the solocam installed smoothly into the Eufy app. Instructions are sparse so it did take a couple minutes to find the setting to share the camera on my wife’s phone as well as mine. Video is very clear in both daylight and darker conditions. I have not turned on motion detection as yet, so cannot comment yet on that but am satisfied so far!

Camera needs to be really close to wireless router or it will lose signal.Also The operating temperature of eufy SoloCam L20 is -4°F to 122°F / -20°C to 50°C.I live in Edmonton Canada and it can get -40c and lower.Nothing in the Product information on Amazon but is on the Eufy siteDid not rate the night vision or motion detection because can't get it working outside because of the wifi issue Sending it back

Easy to set up and use, like extremely easy, however the battery life when using moderately isn't great, would definitely recommend upgrading to the 180 day battery model unless it's placed somewhere easy to access or can run a USB power supply directly to the camera.

Requires an EXPESIVE phone to set it up!!!!
