This is a very nice system, however it took some serious advanced setup to get full functionality from it. I am very disappointed that the manual points to a zclever support page which does not exist. ...And the push notification feature in the xmeye mobile app is not working currently which has nothing to do with the seller or manufacturer.The cameras are metal and the video quality is very good. the resolution is 960P. (apparently 1080N is Chinese for 960P).The DVR supports 8 cameras at 960P or 4 cameras at 1080P.Here are some additional support and tips you may need to have a successful installation after following the manual and setting the system up. All of these are free apps and services.The download link for the Windows CMS software in the manual does not exist, so search forCMS_V3 or General CMS Eng V 3.0.1.9. I had a link in this review, but it was deleted by amazon { :-/To connect remotely outside of your local connection, enable free cloud backup of your video, and receive alarm push notifications ...you will need a few tricks.1) Get your routers ip address from ismyportopen . (dot.c.o.m)2) Use that ip to get a free fixed ip address from no-ip . (dot.c.o.m) (make it something like dvr123.ddns. (dot.n.e.t))3) change your DVR port 80 to 88 in the SYSTEM>NETWORK page4) enter your new DDNS info from no-ip .(dot.c.o.m) in the NET>SERVICE menu5) change the DVR name to something simple like dvr123 in the >GENERAL menu6) important! port forward on your router (or set up a virtual server through NAT) ports 88, 60, 34567, 5547) check to be sure those ports are open at ismyportopen . ok quality , the system is actually 720 p if you want use more than 4 cameras, the streaming works, it is easy to set up, the menu is easy to navigate, the problem is the cameras, they are kind of low quality and one of them died the day i installed it, it got progressively worse until it stopped working, i doubt the police would be able to recognize a criminal using the footage from this camera ,one of the cables came defective also so if you want 1080p quality images look somewhere else, but for the money they are a good deal, work as intended.UPDATE:one of the cameras failed and one of the cables also failed but the customer service was excellent, they kept in touch all the way until my replacement camera arrived, i wish the cameras where as good as the customer service, thank you guys.

At first I was a little weary of this product because it was so cheap but when the system arrived they met and exceeded my expectations. The camera were very easy to install and they look very nice the 8 cameras gave me a lot of protection for my home I I have several angles protected it will be very hard for anything to go on and it not be caught by one of my cameras. Some of the reviews were saying that the cameras did not work well at night I have not experienced that problem the cameras are crystal clear during the day they are also clear at night you do not have that far of a range at night which is fine because I am still able to see about 25 feet away very clearly at night which is more than enough area for me because I was just concerned about the immediate perimeter around my home. I also have it set to my phone which allows me to see everything that's going on when I'm away and it records​ in real time video so everything that you'll see will be what's going on at the present time. The only issue that I have and it's totally my fault I chose a system that did not come equipped with a hard drive which again that's my fault has nothing to do with the system or the company the upside to that is I found a hard drive at a very reasonable price so with that being said I highly recommend this system.

DO NOT!!!!!!!!!and I mean DO NOT buy this first of all it did not come with hard drive so I went and bought one and installed it and when I plugged it in the hard drive was running but the screen stayed blank it gave me not option to format the drive and it didn't start buy itself I tried everything, it doesn't even have a power button and the remote was junk!!!the zclever system is the poster of junk!!!!!when people say don't buy anything from china this should e #1 on the do not buy list!!!!!if anyone takes the time to read this, take my advice and think again before you waste your money

I whish it was wide view to get more use form the cameras. I have had 2 of them under a year but haven't had time to get replacement. the software for the phone it is not reliable it will not play is you fast forward. when I switch the router having issue re connecting to the same box that was never powered off.
