This product was like water. It made my hair crunchy and unmanageable.

Love the packaging, It’s like thierry mugler “alien” inspired packaging just being blue and all- like basically it had a baby and this is what spawned out. LoL.Smell is a musky scent that can be unisex. I love the smell. It kinda gives me Ralph Lauren Blue fragrance vibes just more musky.Anyway, the bottle is plastic and remove the top lid and spray all over... Love that it lingers the fragrance in my hair. Anyhoo, I do have the whole set so shampoo.conditioner, and thickening spray and now this blue version of tonic hair oil.After I washed my hair with the shampoo and conditioner. I sprayed this in my hair and proceeded to blow dry it with my dyson & then I straighten it with my chi straightener. My hair had body and volume. I haven’t seen it like this unless I use hair spray.I’m a fan of this product.

My hair is fine and straight, lacks body and volume, and it gets dry and damaged easily. It also gets frizzy at the ends and normally gets some strays (especially at the crown) that need smoothing. I blow my hair out with a round brush and use products to prevent flyaways, smooth the frizz and get shape, style, hold and some volume into my hair. Once dry, I typically use a little gel to smooth strays and to add texture and hold. I usually finish with hairspray.I’ve been using R+Co BLEU Essential Hair Tonic. I mist my clean, damp hair with it and comb it through. It feels weightless and leaves a pretty fragrance that lingers but doesn’t smell too strong to me or trigger my allergies. I’ve also been working a pump or two of R+Co BLEU Optical Illusion Smoothing Oil (or some type of oil) from about mid strand to my ends as it smooths my frizzy ends, and it makes them hold together and look shiny and healthy. When blown out, my hair has enough texture and hold that I attribute to this Tonic.I’ve been able to skip adding gel and hairspray after my hair is dry. I can’t recall not needing more product for hold. It’s nice as my hair looks more full as it isn’t getting weighed down or sticky from gel or hairspray. The Tonic doesn’t add firm hold, but my shape and style last all day and I don’t get flyaways or strays that normally require product after blow drying. I have noticed flyaways on day two, but I usually wash daily or restyle my second day hair using product anyway.I haven’t had any irritation from this spray, but I’d prefer it lacked Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate (Octinoxate). I assume the concentration is only 1% or less given that it’s listed under phenoxyethanol (limited to 1%), so I’m not sure of the benefit as it seems too low for UV protection. (See update below). I’d prefer not leaving it on my scalp regularly unless there’s a clear benefit as I can’t gauge the cumulative effect. Overall, however, I like the effects of this Tonic and will trade off using it with other products (which I do anyway). With that in mind, I’ll mostly use this when I’ll be getting sun exposure and Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate (Octinoxate) serves a purpose as I don’t want it on my scalp everyday.

I love the way this R+Co BLEU bottle looks! The bottle is thick plastic and cap come off through friction. The box came slightly damaged but that’s okay for my because it’s not a gift.After showering I would spray 2-3x onto my damp hair. It does have a slight hold, , give my hair some shine and hair feels soft to the touch. I found out that this was great to detangle my hair. Whenever my hair is tangled, I would spray some on (my hair would be dry) and detangling would become a lot easier. I would only spritz once of twice as the spray would cover large portion of my hair. If I use too much, my hair would feel heavy.I am not a big fan of the smell. It smells like cologne but the scent does not linger for long.I feel like this is expensive for what it does. I haven’t really seen major improvements using this. I would probably not get this again but it was good to try out.

R+Co BLEU Essential Hair Tonic.Premium vegan hair tonic that makes styling easier and adds shine and moisture to my dry hair! This vegan hair tonic has a clear liquidy serum like texture. Comes in a spray bottle which is convenient to use and also helps get an even distribution. Per the instructions, apply to towel dried hair. I apply mainly to my bangs, and side layers, and ends for easier styling and longer style hold. I notice after application that my hair not only looks shinier, fuller, and more moisturized but that it’s easier to style my hair and that my blow dry/curling styling lasts longer. My hair style lasts 2-3 days or until wash, with only a light curling re-touch needed on the 2 and 3rd day. Per the description, this tonic is infused with BLEU molecule complex, vegetable amino acids and proteins, and vegan keratin. It has a pleasant scent. Comes in pretty packaging, packaging is eco friendly and recyclable. It also includes a fun seed card to grow wildflowers! Would make a nice gift.

This arrives in the coolest, most posh looking box. Break that perforation and pop out this bottle. The top is really cool ... very distinctive. Now, take that off and amply spray this through your towel dry hair. You will notice this incredible scent: it's unisex, enticing, and really fantastic!Now, I worked this through my hair with my fingers as well. I then put my hair up in a messy bun. About an hour later, I let my hair down and it is just stunning: wavy, full, defined ... just gorgeous!I really love R+Co products, but this one is genuinely amazing and "hair-changing!" Wow!
