This book doesn't include some of the most recognizable nursery rhymes. No Mother Hubbard, no hey diddle diddle. The nursery rhymes it does include are condensed, I guess to save space, by removing some of the repetition that are part of the fun of nursery rhymes. For example, in the three little pigs, the wolf only repeats his "I'll huff and I'll puff" soliloquy once, when he blows the the houses of straw and sticks down simultaneously. Same issue in Goldilocks and the three bears. No build up of suspense as the bears find evidence of GL's presence in their house...and then find her! This book narrarates rather than letting each bear speak and guide the listener through the house. The illustrations are well done, but overly ornate for nursery rhymes.

This book is very sturdy and can handle non-careful little hands.It contains classic bedtime stories and poems. I can't wait to read them to my little niece.

The quality of the book is good. My son loves it.

I absolutely love reading this book to my kiddos at night. They enjoy the stories as well. It's now a part of a tradition to read every night.
