Works in heaters requiring 250v element
Replaced bad element in Magnavox heater using additional ceramic insulators to match O.E. length. Heater works great. I don’t recommend modifying your appliance for fitment unless you are an experienced technician. Measure your bad part carefully if needing a direct replacement part. This part worked for me.

Not warm enough.
These bulbs do not get as hot as the old. Now the heater runs on about a minute and off for about a minute. Over and over. I think they do not keep one of the thermal fuses hot enough to stay closed.

They are HOT! - See Review
DATE OF PURCHASE: 02/06/24DATE RECEIVED: 02/12/24DATE OF REVIEW: 03/10/24PERSONAL BUY / PRODUCT TO REVIEW: Personal BuyDELIVERY: UPS - Nicely packaged with other items ordered.QUALITY: This is a mixed bag. They use ceramic end plates and glass enclosure. The wiring is a heat resistant wire with fork terminals.INTENDED PURPOSE: These heat strips are used in a make-shift heater box to heat a very small area for pets. There are 2. They are controlled independently by toggle switches but are also tied to a rheostat for variable heat control output.RECOMMENDATION:PRO - What I DO like about them is that they are extremely hot. Extremely quickly. It's an instant hot device. They are 900W's a piece. 7.5A on a 120V circuit. Times 2 = 1800 Watts. Imagine if you have a 1800W hair dryer and have your hand up next to it. It actually 'feels like' 2400W's. I have them mounted to a rheostat to control the heat output. This is a purely resistive load. Not an induction load (motors). They would be an extreme fire hazards if combustible materials are near or make contact.CON - What I DON'T like about these heat strips is that the lead wires from the element are not 'fixed' vs stationary coming out the end of the element tubes. In other words, they are tied directly to the element themselves and therefore, if there is a lot of movement of the wire, it could break loose from the filament. One has to be extremely careful in handling these otherwise, they will fail quickly. Once mounted, they should be OK.For the purpose I will be using them for, I could not be more pleased as far as heat output. You will feel the heat a foot away from them. You would easily get burned quickly if you touch them. They remain hot even after shutting them off for a time.As far as longevity, that is to be determined. IF they hold up, I will buy again in the future. Winter is almost over so there won't be a lot of usage before spring. We'll find out next fall if they last and update then.
