Moultrie 30 Gallon Hopper Hunting Tripod Deer Feeder w/Digital Timer & Hog Light

The feeder was easy to put together and it was easy to program feeding times. It did its job and dispensed the feed accordingly. I don't think it would be so sturdy if an animal were to nudge up against it. I could see it getting knocked over by the deer or hogs. I will say I'm pleased with how the container kept out moisture. I had it out on a rainy day and the feed inside stayed dry.

I love this feeder, but like many others I found it sat to low. The deer were eating an extra 10lbs of food a day right from the feeder by using their tongue to turn the spinner, which was getting costly. My solution was, I slipped a 10 foot piece of 2" scheduled 40 PVC over each leg. Of course I now need a bucket and a ladder to fill the hopper, but not nearly as often. The legs bow a little, but are still sturdy enough for a full hopper of food and the deer have not knocked it over as of yet. As you can see by the picture and the ground around the feeder, the deer don't seem to mind the extra height. This may be a easy, quick and inexpensive solution for others. Though I think 8 feet of PVC pipe on each leg would have been sufficient. The deer were a little squeamish at first, but have returned for their daily feeding. The only problem was the seller didn't send me the item I actually ordered and only offered a $20 refund to make thing's right. Which was still better than disassembling the unit and the hassle of shipping it back to them. A great product, but I would personally find a different seller to buy it from.

To easy for wildlife to spin the feeder. there are better designs with out a cage. and needs an additional set of legs, feeder too close to the ground

I did NOT receive the hog light

Seller forgot to send the hog light and now I have to go through the messaging center to get a partial refund.

This is perfect. My brother and I use it to feed deer through the winter. The battery takes a little while to charge, but even in the cold temperatures it lasted a few months. Settings are very easy to adjust length and time of feed.

This company is a fraud. They just send you whatever they want and do nothing to make it right. The moultrie products are great. But its better when you get what you order.
