Pilot Rock Octa-Ring Steel Campfire Ring - 37in. Dia. Model Number IO-30/8: arrived with lots of scrapes, scratches, dents, chipped paint, etc. but given its a fire ring and I planned on surrounding it with stone blocks I wasn't too worried. The more concerning issue was that one of the bolts was not threaded its full length meaning the connecting nut wouldn't securely hold the pieces of the fire ring together. To fix this I tossed a few extra washers I had lying around onto it and it now holds snugly. The extra washers on the bolt do create an extra protrusion out the side of the ring but I was able to hide it with blocks. The pieces fit together ok but there were still some pretty unsightly gaps along the top rim. If I hadn't already planned on putting stone blocks around the fire ring these issues would have driven me to purchase blocks or return the item. As for how well it works, well it works great. The amount of smoke created is significantly less than prior to using the ring, when the fire is in full burn. All in all, the produce has some pretty serious quality control and shipping and handling issues (1 out of 5). However, it was still able to function as intended and even looks relatively nice in a stone block ring (4 out of 5). If you are looking for a stand alone fire ring, I suggest you look somewhere else. As a smoke reducing addition to a stone block fire ring this is a good purchase.

I purchased this to put in my round stone fire pit. My fire pit is 31 inch in diameter and this ring is 30 inch diameter and fits good in my round fire pit. The metal seems to be pretty thick and heavy duty. I hope that it lasts a long time. We will see.

everything is adjustable... so my fault in not reading clearly. but it is a very heavy duty ring and i can't wait to finish my project.
