5.5/5!
It’s very good, when I first got it, it was bad to me because I turned it on and THEN put it in the paint then I realized after a few days, I was supposed to put it inside and then turn on the mixer. I’m pretty stupid lol!

Take your chances
Pieces were all there but it didn’t turn on, very disappointed.

Durable tool
This tool was for mixing up jelly gouache paints that I had bought previously and started using. Helps a lot to keep the paints thoroughly mixed up.

It’s good but..
I had bought this big thing of Gouache paint not too long ago and I was recommended a product like this to keep the paint from molding. It is definitely easy to use and it takes away the manual part of having to mix the paint. HOWEVER, it’s definitely not built for a heavy duty set like this. If you use it for too long it will heat up and smell a little weird. Also if I lift it too high it WILL splatter paint everywhere. It feels cheap but nonetheless it is amazing and I would definitely recommend it.

Overpriced, cheap, but does the job.
I have an eraser that looks and feels the same, but I don't have the mixer parts to attach to it. This one feels cheap, but it does the job. The stirring tools are hard to put on and off. Also instead of spinning on its axis, it wobbles around. Since it fits snuggly, it's ok. Actually, this listing is similar to others, just with a decent review than the rest and I think this is linked by some post somewhere so people were able to search it thru google. If you're reading this, it's a sign to go find the cheaper ones. They're the same. The risk of getting a junk/won't turn on version is about the same. The little label says "Sketch Plan".If the concern is the mess, just make sure to do the mixing inside a box so it can splatter anywhere it needs to. Dunk it in before mixing.

Mixing paint is messy.
It seems to work properly but it throws paint everywhere.

Motor gets a little hot, still works decently well.
I purchased this item to help mix my Himi Miya gouache set, which had become completely dried after two years of Arizona heat. After a week of re-hydrating and mixing with toothpicks, I couldn't completely get the creamy consistency the paint once had. Found this little mixer and said why not try. It takes two AAA batteries and works great, as long as the paint isn't overly thick. It will slow considerably, and even stop if the paint is too thick. The button is pressure sensitive and seems to have two speeds, I've noticed the button will get really hot if you hold it for longer than 4-5 seconds at a time. Be sure to submerge the tool before mixing or it will go everywhere, common sense. So far, I am happy with this purchase and am not worried if it burns out, as the price makes it relatively easy to replace.

Do not recommend
This product did work as advertised, however not as efficiently as a better tool. The button would also get so hot it would be painful on my thumb and I’d have to take many breaks. It’s not very powerful, I had to add water and premix every paint cup before using this handheld mixer. I bought it to revitalize my MIYA jelly gouache paints. I would recommend spending a little more for a better mixer.
