So far so good. No breakage issues. I would like to add that I was not aware when I purchased that this pencil is not water soluble but that makes perfect sense now that I think about it.

love my Derwent inktense
Does exactly what I want. Derwent inktense pencils are so cool. Wonderful as colored pencils, or watercolor. Love them as a base that can be added to without turning muddy

A great drawing pencil that has a nice darkness range that you can cover over with water and it won't smear like a graphite pencil would. You can also erase it if necessary with a kneaded eraser or a plastic eraser. Just be careful of your surface that you don't erode it.

Dark Lines that do not wash out with water
Unlike other Inktense Pencils, the outliner is not water soluble. It is more like a graphite pencil, but it also does not smudge. It works well for outlines that will remain in the finished piece. It is well suited for a signature.

Works great on canvas too!
Tried it for the first time this past weekend while doing some plein air painting. Used it on canvas, painted with acrylic, no smudging, bleeding no mess. Color me impressed.

Gebrochen
Der Stift ist leider offensichtlich innerlich komplett gebrochen. Bei jedem Anspitzversuch bricht die Spitze ab, spätestens aber nach kurzem Einsatz auf dem Papier. Schade: der war wohl runtergefallen. Das Produkt an sich ist natürlich gut und erfüllt grundsätzlich seinen Zweck, sein Vorgänger tat seinen Dienst auch einwandfrei, er lag der Original Derwent Inktense Schachtel bei. Vielleicht muss man von Einzellieferung absehen?

These are supposed to used to outline Inktense coloured pencil inks. They are not supposed to run. They do a bit. Wish they either did run or didn't run at all.
