Blow all the things
I use this thing ALL THE TIME. I love it. It smells a bit weird, but my husband says it smells like a nuclear reactor compartment so I guess if you like the way those smell, this is how you can have that work smell at home. I use it for detailing my car, blowing dust out of cabinets and dusting fast so when guests come over, I can make it look like we actually clean the place faster. It helps me dust things that are too high for me on the walls and gets the cat to leave a room faster than the vacuum. I don't know how I lived without it all my life, honestly. The tiny attachments are great for cleaning the computer and I use it under the fridge to blow out the nine thousand pounds of dust that get all over the coils. The only drawback there is that the dust gets all over the kitchen, so I try to throw a damp towel into the cracks and over the top so it sticks to that. I also used it once to dry off after a hot flash I had in the garage.

No more paying for canned air! Great powerful air blower device.
Really powerful (much more so than canned air). It can really put out air. It sucks the air in the bottom and out the nozzles. When you first kick it on, its a bit hard to hold on to as it's spinning inside. It needs an electrical outlet to use it but has a long cord.It came with several nozzles. The one that is attached in the picture has a hole in it that locks onto a pin on the blower. The straw like one connects to the nozzle you see installed in the picture. The flanged nozzle and the thicker long one don't have anyway to lock them on the blower and they can come off with explosive force. Be careful using those. This unit is made to use in bursts. If it runs for more than 30 seconds or so, the air coming out is really hot. Might double as a hot air gun after a while but I wouldn't want to find out. LOL!The air blast is great for electronics as long as you have moved small items out of the way and turned off electronics nearby. It produces so much air it will blow light weight items off a table. Also DO NOT point it into small moving fans as it will likely kill them. It's what I really needed. I 'm happy I won't be paying for cans of air any more.Update: Have used this now for over a year and absolutely love it! This is one of my favorite tools I've ever bought on Amazon. I would highly recommend it. Absolutely worth the price. I saved that amount many times over on what I used to spend on canned air. It also doesn't put out condensation like air compressors do. Its small enough to be portable but is solid metal, heavy duty construction. It does produce about as much noise as a large vacuum cleaner. This unit blows air only. It does not have any ability to vacuum.Couldn't be happier with this product and recommend to anyone who needs to dust off equipment or hard to reach surfaces. I wanted one for years but kept putting it off because of the cost. Now that I have it, I will always keep one handy in my work areas.I found another use is to clean up dusty floors. I open a door to the outside. It works like a leaf blower and is so powerfull that lint and dust go flying. I am in a high dust area and everything inside gets dust covered in a few days. Granted you can't aim this at small objects as they'll blow away with the dust. But I've found it great to herd all the dust bunnies out the door before mopping and cleaning the floor. Works almost as well as a broom and gets into or under places the broom can't. Just don't try dusting off items on shelfs or such as it will blow them off the shelf or table.

Powerful enough to type on MX Browns
Loud and powerful. I did not expect such a little thing to be able to put out so much air. I decided to blow off my mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Brown switches... this thing was typing on my keyboard! The keys were actually being push down beyond their activation point. I can see why I was recommended to buy the DataVac by friends. This thing will make short work of the yearly ritual of blowing out the dust from my computers. Unlike canned air, the air pressure will be fairly constant and I will not have to wait for the canned air to "recharge". Also I like the environmental impact of this as I am just using electricity and the natural air around the DataVac instead of "chemical air" produced by canned air.Only thing it can't do compared to canned air is to "freeze" things.

Perfect for cleaning out new Macbook keyboards.
They should call this a "DataBlow." It doesn't "vac" anything. It does blow an enormous volume of air in a highly directed way, however---way more air than you'll get out of a can. I got this blower to deal with my MacBook keyboard. The new keyboards are hideously bad. The key travel is so small, that a speck of dust (literally) can prevent the key from working. It's a constant source of irritation to have to hit keys harder and harder over time until the key stops working altogether and you lug your machine down to the Apple Store. They fix it by using compressed air to blow the dust out from under the keys. This blower does that perfectly. All you have to do is run the nozzle around the edges of the keys (ideally, with the machine on edge), and you're done. I tried to do the same thing with a can of air, and it didn't have enough "umph" to do the job. This thing works. The only downside is that if you let it run for minutes on end, it gets worryingly hot (which is why I've dinged it a star). I run it for onley a minute or so, though, and it doesn't heat up at all for that short a burst.

Sturdy, with Myriad Uses
I understand this duster was developed to use on computers -- to take the place of canned air. But I needed it for any number of purposes. For example, silk plants can't easily be cleaned. Vacuuming doesn't work, and hand-dusting is a waste of time. They need a good strong burst of air, and that's just what the Metro provides. (Especially down in the little nooks and crevices.) The more I use it, the more uses I find for it. I plan to take my house fans outside and blow the dust off the fan blades and housing. Any time you have something that needs dusting but vacuuming is not practical, the Metro is the answer. Of course, you're blowing the dust out into the surrounding area, but hopefully it's an area where you CAN vacuum. Better yet, use the Metro outside on the porch. The cord is long and sturdy. And the appliance itself is nice and sturdy. In my view, if you've got a vacuum, you need a Metro Duster.

Don’t be deceived by the price, worth the money.
It is expensive for what it is, but it is VERY good, and does justify the high price tag.

Buen producto.

Deafening but worth it, also warms up fast
It's incredibly loud. Louder than any vacuum. Use ear protection. And the base of the duster gets hot really fast when you use it. Be wary of where you place it after use.I got tired of buying expensive cans of air that worked only in short bursts. This Electric duster kicks more dust out of the PC than the pressured air cans. With all the attachments, you have access to much more nooks and crevices in your PC for maximum dusting. Also, note, this model has the notch that makes attachments easier to hold on to when snapping together. From what I see, the difference between this model and the one with static protection, if you already have a wrist guard for preventing the odd static arcs, you don't need to spend another $50 as you will end up with two wrists guards. And you can buy them for cheaper than $50. So I'm looking to get that next time I browse Amazon.

Works really well!
Some reviewers were saying it lacked the raw power of canned air. I disagree. This thing has a lot of pressure to it. Put on the regular attachment and it moves air quite forcefully. And unlike canned air, you don't have to try to conserve so you can do prolonged blasts and really get the dust out of a computer. Worth it to buy this to dust electronics since canned air is expensive and wasteful but this lasts for I would assume quite a long time. If it dies randomly I will update this review but so far so good!

It takes me less than half an hour to clean my hardware.
I used to take 2 to 4 hours to clean my stuff. Sweeping, vacuuming... even canned air is not as good as this thing. Also, I suggest to vacuum around and align your hardware before dusting it. Put some plastic or protection on the direction you blowing. The first time I used it in a hardware that seamed not that dirty, a bunch of dust came out the other side, good thing it was close to the corner of the room.
