I'm very surprised by the negative reviews here. This is a product primarily imported and sold by Harbor Freight and they certainly have a reputation for cheap junk. But they also have some really good stuff at amazing prices, in amongst the junk. This is one of the good ones, in my opinion.To be fair, I purchased my toolbox at a local Harbor Freight store, not on Amazon. So if the stock that goes through Amazon is different (which I doubt) or if the shipping is the problem (maybe), then that's another story, but as for the toolbox itself - same exact model - the quality is actually very high. To that point, I’ve also purchased a Harbor Freight "Windsor" hardwood workbench on Amazon... and it did arrive in smashed carton, with one broken and one missing piece. That was indeed disappointing, but the workbench itself is actually very nice, besides being damaged in transport. I’m also very happy with that, despite the shockingly poor handling of the box in transit.So, back to the US General rolling tool box. There’s absolutely nothing to complain about here. It’s solid. The drawers roll smoothly on ball-bearing sliders. There is some assembly required: you have to bolt on the wheels, the legs and the tool chest on top of the legs. All the holes lined up perfectly. Assembly was quick and easy. It seemed very well engineered and well executed to me. There was spare hardware included (one of each size). Everything fit like a glove. The metal is heavy and sturdy. The lid, drawers, wheels - all moving parts work smoothly and perfectly. I’m the kind of guy who usually buys the extra-heavy duty version of everything. I hate flimsy, cheap junk. I'm very skeptical of anything made in China. But I checked out the floor model of this box at the local Harbor Freight store and was very satisfied with the quality - surprisingly very satisfied. I went in there expecting to find flimsy junk, but that was not the case. The boxed unit that I took home was just as good. I’m very happy with the box and with the fact that I saved over $200 compared to the Grizzly Tools model I was also looking at. There are nice soft rubber mats in the bottom of every draw and compartment. All around great. Not everything from China sucks.

Assembly is a little tricky. I left everything loose until all parts were connected etc. thankfully I have stubby gear wrenches for the top because it would have taken another hour if not. Great product for the price. Sturdy enough to roll around my shop loaded with tools. I added a pry bar holder and side shelf. One month later and it’s holding up to my abuse

Extremely roomy casters roll extremely well and was not expecting shocks for the lid was a nice plus only problem i had was bottom tray was bent but it to all of 1 minute to fix it easy setup good product sofar

Excellent quality. I was surprised every piece was present. Usually when I assemble something like this I'm missing a few bolts or such. I've had mine for a few months now.Drawers are nice. Not a fan of the shocks on the top lid. Can't speak for the casters either, as mine stays stationary in the shop.Overall well worth the money.

1 of 3 came in (concealed) damaged. One corner. Needs better internal packaging when shipping Parcel and not LTL given the weight. Otherwise, product is a great value.

I needed a tool cart to organize and consolidate the tools of several family members and this seemed like a good fit. I like the cart, but there were many issues. The first major problem was that the casters were in a rather large box that was crammed into the bottom drawer along with the side handle. We could not get the drawer open, not only because the box inside was too tall, but one side of the drawer was locked. One of the locking panels at the back of the box was not attached and had everything jammed. They’d also wedged 2 long side pieces into a top drawer and managed to warp the drawer a bit. Why they hadn’t packed ALL of the pieces into the top is a mystery to me.Then began the assembly process. The hardware was not labeled when a simple sticker would’ve identified which of the short bolts was actually a “long” bolt. Only one of the long corner pieces had an “up” sticker on it and that one was, of course, on the bottom resulting in some assembly which had to be redone to get the holes for a later step in the right position. None of this was in the so called manual though. Where’s IKEA when you need them?! We’d had to remove all the drawers in the unpacking process and then had to figure out how to reattach the locking mechanism on the back right side of the box. Luckily I had found and kept the tiny nut needed to affix the pin. What an ordeal!I do like the cart, however. I’m just glad my sisters were here to help me out. If they hadn’t been here this thing would be on its way back to the company!!

Love it bought me and my cousin one while working in our shop the wheels are big so the cart rolls smoothly even over uneven space love using it has a lock an key so when I go home just lock it up an leave

We bought this to use as a changing table and it is perfect for it. For all you dads out there that want a toolbox changing table this is the one! For all you wives who think it is dumb rethink by far the best table I have owned!
