One of our best Halloween purchases. Design, construction materials, and assembly are all excellent. We dinged it one star because the instructions don't describe how to adjust the numerous lighting patterns and it doesn't retain the lighting mode you select when re-plugged in or connnected to an outdoor timer.Goes together in a couple of minutes following included instructions. We have this at our front door with the plug assembly connected to an outdoor extension cord, all contained in a waterproof small size SOCKiTBOX. This assures no exposed electrical connections and keeps the pumpkin's electric control box dry and out of the weather.It does not have an on/off switch. It is turned on/off by plugging/unplugging to an outlet. When powered it cycles through its different lighting modes repeatedly until they are changed with a button on the control box. I would suggest using a outlet timer switch to turn it on/off and control when it comes on. We use a WeMo WiFi Smart Outdoor Plug which is easy to program with the WeMo App.We placed 3 small red bricks on the base stand we purchased at Home Depot to keep it secure in windy conditions. We paid $.48 cents each for these. 3 stakes are included if you have it on a lawn where you can stake it to the ground.There are several lighting options from on steady, fade, twinkling, flashing, and other settings. These are controlled from a small round weather proof button on the top end of the control unit. We didnt' find this until two days after setup because it's not described in the instructions. If you don't select a lighting pattern it will simply cycle through all lighting effects.We also put this on a timer to come on at night for a few hours and turn on in the morning for a couple hours. It does not appear to retain its' settings when power is turned off and back on with the timer.HIghly recommended for a unique outdoor display which should last years.

We really enjoyed having this decoration in our living room! It’s easy to assemble and we like the fun light patterns. And since we don’t have a lot of space, we appreciate that it collapses into a flat box that we can squirrel away somewhere.After reading other reviews, I decided to dull the top of the middle supporting rod so it wouldn’t poke through the top of the hat, since there was quite a lot of tension. I used paper towels and masking tape, but I got it a little too bulky looking. It worked and there was no damage.I also decided to hot glue some of the felt pieces down better, but it’s not very attached in the first place because of how the fabric folds when it collapses. It’s not that it’s bad quality—it’s just a practical solution to all the folding.

I love that the fabric is all glittery, but the black on the pumpkins didn't come glued on very well. Neither did the orange stars on the hat. I will have to hotglue them back on.

Cute, but kinda flimsy. Because it sat on a solid surface, I couldn’t pin it down, therefore, it wouldn’t stand up straight. It feels like it could tear easily so it needed careful handling. All said, it was okay.

This was relatively easy to assemble. It was a perfect height and looked great on the front porch. Nothing scary looking about it. Just cute! Lights inside changed their rhythm which wasquite cool.

This is perfect for our porch. It assembled easily, works perfectly and it so cute. It also folds for easy storage. I would buy one for every season if they made it.

Everything was assembled except for the center support, which is two rods easily inserted to expand the decoration to its display height. The different lighting options are written on the side of the battery case so easy to choose your selection. Made a fast and easy addition to our decorations for Halloween, and it flattens for easy storage,
