Whales and Dolphins Coloring Book (Dover Sea Life Coloring Books)

Not only does this book have 30 pictures to color but it has lots of information about each subject in the picture so it's a great educational book as well as a great book for coloring. It has a color copy for each of them so you can see what the colors should be like for them There is a list of the animals in back as well as a list of their scientific names in the back.. This book would also be a great gift for someone that loves whales and dolphins. The pictures are on both sides so you want to use a sheet of paper in between so the colors won't bleed over while your coloring or painting on top on one that's already been done. You could also color them for a youngster so they have a book of them.

I bought this because it's a newer edition of the original which I have and my young grandson wanted so badly. He is going to be so excited that he can color this one. I keep mine clean because I want to have my grandchildren trace the illustrations to help them learn to draw.

My 4-year-old daughter has been obsessed with dolphins for the last few months. She wanted a dolphin coloring book as she was only temporarily satisfied with the dolphin coloring pages I found by going to google, clicking images, and searching on "dolphin coloring page." So, I searched amazon for a dophin coloring book and found the Whales and Dolphin Coloring Book is very different from the dolphin coloring pages you can find on google. Each picture depicts a different whale, dolphin, or porpoise and is accompanied by information about that particular animal.The editorial review says the reading level is for preschool children, but it is in fact at a much higher level. That's okay though. The point is to color.The sketches are nice. While it is a little painful to hand the book of sketches to a 4-year-old, my daughter does love the coloring book. Besides bottlenose dolphins, there are orca, striped dolphins, balean whales, and porpoises. I might have to buy another copy of this book in four or five years and see if it is less painful to hand the book to her then.

Our child is obsessed with anything to do with marine biology, so when we bought this book, it was a HUGE hit! Pictures are very pretty, and we're happy with the quality. Recommended!

Great educational coloring book. Realistic pictures of true-to-life species. Kids and adults enjoy coloring in these books! The descriptions of each image and the animals it features is nice too! The book is not especially long though, for being more expensive than other coloring books.

This 47 page coloring book has pictures of each of the types of whales and dolphins to enable the child to color the pictures true to life. I am also very impressed with the information about each animal on the page the child is coloring. This as well as the other puzzles and coloring books on sealife are wonderful gifts for the child--my six year old grandson is into whales and loves this coloring book.

I got this for our homeschool unit on dolphins and my kids have loved it. I remember these coloring books from when I was a kid so I’m loving they enjoy it as well.

I got this for my Grandkids and it turned out to be much more complicated drawings and information then I realized. They still enjoyed it I think and learned something I hope!

I bought this as a gift for my daughter since her favourite animal is the dolphin. She was delighted by all the dolphin pictures and all the information about all the varieties of dolphins and whales.

Lovely illustrations, with some examples of how you might colour them in on the back cover, along with a few descriptions of the different types of dolphin etc

This book is a little difficult for her, she is only 6. However I am sure she will love the pictures to colour.
