For what it is I could see someone not wanting to pay the amount they want. However, for what it does I am very pleased overall. It is a nicely bright lamp, that isn't blinding. The warm, and white lights are good for working/studying. While the color sets a nice ambiance and tone to whatever room you put it in. I have a govee ecosystem with many of their products, so it's nice to have all of my rgb lights in one app. The app is very easy to use and has many great effects! I enjoy it, its lighter than I expected. Which could be a pro if you're planning on taking this different areas a lot. Overall good lamp!

I’ve had this lamp for a few years now. It’s used daily. It even comes camping with us. The Govee app and skill works seamlessly with Alexa. And you can make a few great routines with it. I’d also recommend the LED tv back light strip. When at home I have these lights turn on at night through a Aqara motion sensor. It’s a great buy. Highly recommended - enjoy

These are great options for lighting areas where you don't want to have a bunch of cords, and also perfect for small spaces. If you keep the lighting level at a low percentage, the battery life is amazing!

I really like the design and features of this light. The Govee interface is very easy to use and does have a lot of different color options and templates to choose from. I do not like that it sometimes does not connect to my Smartphone App, leaving me to have to manually power on the device and play around with it until it connects via bluetooth.

If you’re looking to add some ambient light to a room without breaking the bank, this is the perfect device for you. I definitely would buy this for anyone & don’t hesitate. Also if you want to see a in depth review search ronz.y on Youtube. I posted a full review there. It’s honestly so cool!!

TLDR; you can get different Govee products which are better and for the same price. (The cylinder lamp or the twin light bars.)I've bought a handful of things from Govee's line and enjoyed all of them—this would be the exception. The orb is a little small, but that's on me, I should've read the specs more carefully. It can get bright, sure, but not as bright as say the cylinder lamp or the twin bars. The effects are pretty lackluster and the lighting surface is only capable of projecting only one color at a time it seems, unlike the other two I mentioned which can project multiple light colors on the same surface. You can charge it and move it around which is great, but the slippery surface and tiny legs mean that you are stuck with only one specific lighting angle—rendering it's mobile advantage kind of moot. It would be good to see different mounting options for this lamp in a future iteration. I found that its lighting angle pointing up is pretty mediocre, but it does a pretty fantastic job of shining light downwards. I wish the lamp came with one of those macrame potted plant holders that you could slip the half-orb into, it would be much better as a hanging lamp than a table lamp. It also would have been better if it had more hardware buttons. The one button on the back cycles the colors but I wish there were buttons for brightness and to turn it off. Also wish Govee made buttons to cycle through our lighting shortcuts, the light settings that we actually use, instead of cycling random presets that we don't really care for.I thought that if I bought the newer model of the semi-circle lamp I'd be getting myself a more refined product but for the price point of $60 USD you can totally skip this, there are way better Govee products to buy than this sad bowl of disappointment. I would pay $20 for this, max.
