A real help for my dog!
Last week I came home to find my geriatric dog sprawled on the kitchen linoleum unable to stand. Poor baby was so stressed out, it took him 2 days to start wagging his tail again. I rent, so I can't do anything about the flooring except cover it. I should've bought these carpet squares ages ago. I've only just installed them, so I can't yet report on ease of cleaning. What was most important is getting rid of the doggy slip-n-slide.

Perfect for the cold floor areas where you do not want a rug slipping and slidding
A MUST have for E#very Home... it affordable, easy to replace or clean (kids, animals, elderly ) Design it yourself!.... it is NOT for comfort of padding, but it is perfect just not to step on cold floors like going to the bathroom from your bed..it helps absorb sounds and noises also....LOVE thes and so will YOU

Really thin
Probably should have guessed from the price, but these are not very thick at all. I needed something to temporarily cover a floor until I can either get carpet, tile, laminate, something else down, but obviously I'm having an issue deciding what. I got this and my first thought before I even opened the box was I was sent the wrong thing, no way was what I ordered that thin or light. Jokes on me, it is indeed that thin and light. I've used carpet tiles before, so I thought I'd give these a shot, these are nothing like carpet tiles. These are small adhesive squares, I don't know that I'd even call it carpet, it's like a thick fabric more than a carpet. I have one that was unraveling on the sides right out of the package, I would not recommend these for anything but crafts maybe. I did cut some up and used it to "carpet" my nieces doll house though. Works great for that.

LOVE LOVE LOVE
There's no question that these will not be for everyone, but they are definitely for me.I have owned my home for nearly 20 years, which means my carpet is nearly 20 years old. During 8 of those years, we had a lovely bunny who roamed the house and, among other things, grazed on the carpet. In all fairness, I had chosen stupid carpet; I didn't even know that “carpet that unravels” was on the menu. Anyway, he chewed right down to the cement floor in two rooms, and not in some tiny little isolated spots either. Obviously, I was not going to replace that carpet while he was still alive. And mere weeks after he passed away, my daughter started a foster kitten rescue operation in our home. Our first family ended up being a “foster fail”, which means we kept four cats. And then that other one. Oh, yeah, and the sixth one. The cats discovered the bunny's work and decided it would be a good idea to expand on it in our library aka “the cat room”. So at this point I have about two square yards of exposed cement in one room! Crazy, I know. We keep throwing rugs over it, but at some point, we need a more permanent solution.I have spun in circles around how on earth do people recarpet a home that they're currently living in – and given up on the idea that that's even remotely a possibility. So I've decided to tackle one room at a time, with the light bulb moment awareness that it doesn't really matter what I do to the flooring; whatever I do, when I sell someday, the entire house will need to be recarpeted anyway. So with that in mind, I've been looking for solutions. I thought “carpet squares” with the vision of buying extras and just throwing away any which the cats soil and replacing them. But carpet squares are disturbingly expensive. And then I came across these amazing very reasonably priced carpet tiles. I can not tell you enough just how much I love them. While they are clearly not something you would want to put down in a classy home (lol), they are going to work great in my library. We are just going to rip out all of the remaining carpet and put these down right on top of the cement instead. And if one gets soiled – into the wash it goes! What a lovely solution. Each tile has a thin film on the back which you pull off. The bottom side is sticky but without leaving a residue. It's a bit odd, somewhat like the fidget toys that you can throw against the wall and watch slowly roll down. They will prove very challenging for cats to move, especially when no edges are exposed because the entire floor is covered. And yet they will be easy to lift off to throw in the wash or reposition. The tiles themselves are slightly thicker than I expected, given that the measurements provided were in millimeters. The colors are very pretty. The tiles are very bendable every which way with no stiffness to them at all. The bottom is waterproof. The top feels like soft carpet. So there you have it. I would not recommend them as a permanent flooring solution in the main rooms of a nice house. But there are many purposes for which they will be wonderful, including ours.I'll report back if we have any issues over time.
