Adjust-ability Rocks
The first adjustment weights were on driver heads. I built a lot of tungsten weighted driver heads in years gone by. Then came putter weights and adjustable shafts, and now that it has caught on, you'll only see more of this. For faster greens you want more weight on the putter head. Slower greens seem to putt better with blade styles and lighter heads. The science of this is that on fast greens where you want a small stroke, the putter weight helps resist the mistake of taking the putter back too far, and decelerating the strike. On slow greens you have to make a longer flowing stroke. Heavy heads resist that. It is hard to take a heavy putter back smoothly on a long putting stroke. You can play with different heel and toe weights. More weight on the toe favors keeping the putter blade open so it might help you keep from pulled putts. Less toe weight will tend to help you close the toe of the putter if you have a stroke that has a more natural arc. Strict straight back and straight through would favor matching weights. On my D-12, I like a heavier weight on the toe. Adjust-ability just makes using one putter for both extremes a nice option to have. You can vary the swing weight. Every 2 to 3 gram added to the head increases the swing weight which is not so much a matter of dead weight as it is balance. If your putter has weight ports. Get a few different weights and experiment. It's fun, and you might putt better.
