Coach Wooden One-on-One

EXCELLENT - as is everything about Coach John Wooden!

If you are a sports fan or just a regular person and you are trying to grow in your faith, this is a MUST read! John Wooden was a great coach, but in this book he shows that he may have been an even better teacher. He really helps bring the word of God alive and puts it into perspective for sports minded people. His humility is unmatched. I dislike reading and I've read this book a couple times over the last few years and it seems like I'm always referring back to something I've read. I've even passed it on for others to read. Highly recommended!

Amazing devotional! I absolutely love the content and way this is written.Unfortunately, every other page seems to fall out as I read it. Other than the physical book itself, the content is great!

This book teaches a lot of great morals that I shared with my girl's track team. The girls liked it so much that a hand full of them got online and ordered it themselves. I used each day as a team building exercise for just about every week in our season. I saw the change in my team and myself, Coach Wooden uses biblical teachings and applies it to todays sports. This book was was a blessing to me and my team.

I love this book of warmth and wisdom.Each day one page contains the wisdom of John Wooden, and the opposing is the warmth of Jay Carty.While I read this book for John Wooden's wisdom I enjoyed Jay Carty's insights as well.I also bought Mike Singletary One-on-one another book in the series with Jay Carty which I also enjoyed very much.[...]

Everyone should give themselves the gift of reading as much as they can by or about John Wooden ... Read, watch, follow - this was a great man in a time when we need just exactly this kind of inspiration! THIS is a reminder that there was, is - and still can be - TRUE greatness in the world!
