Success!
I have made 2 cutters so far (the leaf and the sign in the photo attached) and for the first time doing so, I think it worked well. Follow guides on youtube if you’re not sure how to do it, but using some plyers will help get the corners nice and sharp. One edge is folded over so it won’t hurt your hands when you use the cutter. Ive just washed them by hand, so not sure how they’d do in a dishwasher. I have made 2 so far, and could probably make another 3-4. Will likely buy again.

works great
I made a cookie cutter for an even up coming. There is no way to buy a cookie cutter so specialized. This was great. The cookies will be the hit of the party. The produce is sturdy and has a thickness at the top that makes it sturdier but keeps you from cutting your fingers when using the cookie cutter, and also gives you something to grab hold of to pull out of cookie dough. This is really a great product.

Money saver & creativity booster.
I am a huge fan of these diy cookie cutter kits. I keep buying them so I have them in hand at all times. Since starting my cookie decorating endeavor in January, I originally went crazy purchasing cookie cutters. Not cheap! So fast forward to me finding these on Amazon. The material is sturdy, easy to manipulate, & has a decent amount (obviously the number of cutters the roll will yield depends on size of each cutter, but I made 9 from my first roll). There is a slight learning curve w/ regard to how much you need to cute to complete a cutter, but overall the kit is a VERY economical way to make custom cookie cutters that I design or to replicate designs I see on Etsy for $6+Definitely need to be cautious when using/cutting the material and while it does include double-sided tape, it’s not a lot. Also, be mindful of orientation when making the cutter so that the deign is situated the way you want it when it’s in the face down cutting position. When putting together your cookie cutter making kit, in addition to this kit please have needle nose pliers, gloves (I haven’t used gloves, but it’s probably the right thing to do), and clamps to hold the taped ends together, and possibly additional tape.

Work gloves and nylon covered pliers help a bunch! Custom puzzle was a hit!
I had an idea to do an edible puzzle, and set out to make nine cookie cutters that would yield cookies that could be put together. After the first two cutters, I realized that worrying about a perfect form was adding too much stress, and ultimately my friend and I picked several pieces from a colorful puzzle, and used them for inspiration! I love that the cutters, and therefore the cookies, look more like random cut puzzle pieces than commercial cutters. If you are starting out, my recommendation is to buy wire bending pliers made for crafting. They are nylon covered and are less likely to damage the tin. I made the overlap about 1/2 inch, and put just a thin strip of the enclosed tape towards the rolled edge of the cutter, pressing it together with the pliers. This leaves a very small gap on the cutting edge, but I found it easier to fet soap and water into the crevice this way. Oh - and thin cheap work gloves help a ton!I’m absolutely hooked, and will try again to make the edible puzzle, and I’m sure many other shapes! I already ordered more. :)

The product is nice but shaping is very hard
This metal strip is very nice, just like the kind they use to make actual cookie cutters. Unfortunately, making cooking cutters requires a lot of practice and I couldn’t make it work for me. Just know if you plan to buy this that the process will be challenging and you may not like the outcome. But, the metal itself is great quality and very safe. I might just have to leave this one to the pros 😅
