Q: How do you wash the purse to soften it without fading it?

I haven't washed mine - but I would think you'd need to hand wash with a gentle soap and cold water.

The drop is 10.25 inches. It fits nicely underly the arm.

Q: How much does the bag weigh when empty?

It’s a canvas bag and very light when empty

Q: Would the side pockets fit a 20 oz Yeti cup?

I don't think so, although I do not know what a Yeti cup is. My 20 oz travel mug does not fit. I tried a 12 oz bottle of Coke and a 12 oz bottle of beer and they both fit - but I think that is about the limit.
