Very effective seal!
Gasket was relatively easy to put on. I would caution that if the smoker has been used without a gasket, a thorough cleaning with denatured alcohol should be done to the area to be gasketed before attempting to stick the gasket to the metal surface. The adhesive is very aggressive, but will not stick to a surface coated with grease and smoke.The gasket effectively stopped leaks around the smoker’s lid and helped the unit reach temperature quickly.I can’t attest to durability since I have only one use to go by.

only 4 stars as i just received it , only used once since received , easy to put on and seemed to stop smoke from escaping from lid !! nice quiet lid now also ....

Works great
When I first used my smoker, the doors leaked so bad I couldn't control the temperature to keep it below 300 F.Smoke was leaking out all around the upper door and air was being drawn in the lower door. The gasket material went on easily, and adhered well. When I tested the smoker WITH the door gaskets, I was able to control the temp to stay between 225F and 250F. And no smoke coming out around the door. The smoke now stays IN the smoker to flavor the meats. Yes, I would buy it again.

I haven't tested it yet
I assume it works, I put it around my smoker and will find out the next time I start it up. Stop asking for a review the day after I get it. That's to soon!

Must explain has 2 protective tapes ,its great , AND YOU WILL SEE NO RETURNS IF EXPLAIN THIS!

Not what I thought
Was not very pleased with it, I put it on when I did my burn-in on my Masterbuilt 40". I went to open the door after the Burn-In and it would not open, the seal had separated and stuck to the other side of the smoker.

Must use for smoker
Been using for well over six months and is holding up pretty well. It’s not perfect but it’s still keeping smoke locked in and it’s still on at temperatures up to 400.
