Great fun for the kids
Someone in a nearby tent had one of these during our camping holiday. All the kids on the site played with it for hours. We bought one when we got home and have had loads of fun taking it out. It goes very high so lots of space needed and a good bike pump (this isn't included in the kit).

Wow! This is not a toy !
Amazing example of hydraulic / pneumatic propulsion. Needs a big open field to use as it goes so high and wafts away with the wind, not suitable for a crowded beach. Treat as a firework and keep children at a distance and they will be amazed at its woooosh and the height it will reach. Think of it as an eco friendly daytime rocket 👍🏻

A lot of money for not very much
Works, but £18 for a pop bottle, some plastic tubing, a bung and a few plastic bits is poor.

Needs a design update
Most standard bottles have now been redesigned to reduce plastic waste and as such have a wider diameter aperture. Standard bottles therefore don’t fit. A redesign to accommodate this would make all the difference otherwise it’s out of date.

Just like the real thing, you need space!
Blimey! This thing goes!!Loses a star because for what it is, its over priced (sorry but there's no denying for a few bits of plastic it's very expensive). However, pounds per hours entertainment it works out good value!Assembly is easy. Launching just as easy! Without even trying to get as much pressure as possible, this looks to be going way over the advertised height of 30m!! Forget doing it in your garden unless you have a few acres! We took a it to a local park and with a bit of breeze we were still risking it going over the fence in to gardens because it went so high (straight up I would add) but then gets blown by the wind.Kept 2 x 3.5 year olds and 4 x 30 something year olds entertained for a whole afternoon!

The best water rocket kit I've ever seen
I've bought water rocket kits before, but could I find one in my storeroom when I needed it? No. So I bought this one... So glad, really well designed and utterly excellent. My students really enjoyed playing with it and calculated the launch speed at around 100km/h. The key to the success of this particular rocket is the size and shape of the fins - which give stability pre-launch and in the air. It launched well both vertically and from a launch track (plastic guttering).

Fun, exercise and education
Bought this for my two grandchildren age 4 & 6. We had great fun with it and quite a bit of exercise retrieving the rocket! Some reviews have commented that its expensive for a plastic bottle and a few plastic bits, and I am sure you could make your own version, but what you do get is very good quality and it works first time out of the box.You will need a lot of space to use this as it goes up really high, much higher than I expected. Particularly if its a bit windy you will need at least a football pitch size open area as it will get carried in the wind. You will need a decent pump to pump it up and I used a 'stirrup' type pump which the kids could get on with and helped get a much greater pressure. You could use a normal hand bike pump but I don't think you would get the same pressure. The more pressure you can get in the higher it goes, so one tip would be to make sure the rubber bung is in as tight as you can get it, this means the pressure will get really high before it blows.Last tip is take plenty of water with you (if you are not near a tap) and you will also need a funnel to help fill the bottle.Overall a great activity toy that does not need batteries, gets you out in the fresh air, will be enjoyed by all ages and has some educational value as well.

Ballistic 🚀
Bought this for my Year 3 class. I did think that £17 was a bit steep for a bottle rocket kit but I needn’t have worried. After pushing the pump (not included), the rocket took off with such force that is sprayed me with mud and we couldn’t actually find it in the sky until it was on its way down. Another class made bottle rockets the traditional method, which saw about 4-5 metres in height. I honestly don’t know how far this flew - easily 20 metres vertically and that’s only when I caught sight of it. The class couldn’t shoot their necks to the sky fast enough. After a few tries, we landed it on the roof. Not even bothered, 5/5 for function and WOW factor. Highly recommended.
