Beautiful lens for my camera
This was a great lens for the price that it charges. I have a cinema level camera, and I needed a lens. This lens was recommended to me by a director friend. It is a super lightweight lens with very great focus and a great aperture for low light settings. I do a lot of one-person directing/shooting, so this lens' makes my life easier when needing to adjust something quickly focus wise or aperture wise.

For that price, do yourself a favor
So cheap and so good. Nothing else to say. Using it for landscape photography and portraits. For under 70 bucks that’s a no brainer

Great manual lens for a great price
I bought this for my Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 to replace the original 14-42 kit zoom lens that came with the camera. The zoom was nice, sharp, and fully auto - but it was also slow (f3.5 max), long and cumbersome. I wanted smaller and faster, near ‘pancake’ style lenses, so I decided to try the two inexpensive independent manufacturer fixed length lenses available on Amazon (the other is the 25mm f1.7 7Artisans, which is still on it’s way from China). As a photographer for over 40 years, I can say it’s a nice, simple, ‘old school’ style lens - VERY solidly made of apparently machined aluminum (specs say copper core as well), and nice multi-coated glass. The focus barrel rotates very smoothly with no grind spots, and the diaphragm also opens and closes very smoothly. The focus turn is about 5” overall, which is a good standard length for manual focus lenses - it gives more precise focus than a short throw, and once you set focus the barrel stays put, with no slip or movement. The same can be said of the stop ring, which has no ‘click’ stops, but that doesn’t bother me. I assume that choice of manufacture was made either to simplify build, keep costs down, or for ease of use as a video lens to be able to smoothly change exposure during shooting. Either way, I don’t view it as a problem, although you need to take care not to shift your f/stop accidentally - you actually need to pay attention to what you’re doing! From the brief testing I’ve done, the glass is decently sharp with nice color saturation and contrast. For use with M4/3 cameras, it gives very good results for the price. For photographers who don’t mind doing the work (instead of leaving everything to the camera on AUTO), and for that ‘lomography’ camera vibe while keeping the convenience of digital, I think it’s a terrific buy.

An Excellent Lens
I just bought the Olympus OM-D e-M10 Mark II mirrorless camera and this lens to go with it. I was not inclined to pay a lot of money for an automatic lens. I am very pleased with this manual lens. It is well built and very easy to focus. Adding the focus peaking and magnifier features from the camera makes focusing extraordinarily easy. My focus is always dead on and quick, and leaves me little reason to want to use an automatic lens. After having taken over a thousand pictures with this lens, I can say that it lens produces superb pictures. You will not be short changed by using this lens. As with any lens, a little Photoshop or Lightroom editing will bring the most out of your pictures. For group shots, I do have to step back quite a distance to take the photo, but that is okay. I manage. There seems to be a misconception among many (even some experts) that these manual lenses cannot handle motion pictures well. Nothing can be further from the truth. I have attached a couple of pictures with movement. I have been able to take numerous motion pictures with no problem, using focus peaking and the proper settings. I think it actually does better than an automatic - the camera never has to search for focus. The focus peaking makes it quick and effortless.

Great value for an affordable lens. 👍
My Panasonic Lumix lens is lost with USPS, so I went with this lens. Seen the mixed reviews and thought it was worth a shot. Works good for a point and shoot lens. Easy to adjust. It fit my Lumix G85 pretty well. It wasn't the smoothest to put on, but I also didn't have to force it on either. I'll share my unedited pics so you can see what image quality to expect. Some shots were close up, some a few feet away and some from far away. Overall, I'm happy with this affordable lens.

Love this manual prime on my Olympus E-P7
Love the way this lens shoot clearly with nice bokeh. The pics were set at F2 as I recall. The lack of clarity to more of the photo has more to do with my eyesight looking at the screen than it does the lens. I have to figure out how to get focus peaking set!
