Paul & Joe Cleansing Cream 150 g

I don’t often use cleansing cream but decided to give Paul & Joe Cleansing Cream a try because I’d heard that it was a really good brand. The box and the jar are certainly very nice; I like the matte white container with the beautiful branches. The packaging definitely makes it look like high quality product.This cleansing cream is very smooth and creamy. I used the enclosed white plastic spatula to apply a small amount to my face and left it on for about ten minutes before I removed it in the shower. The smell is light but not a smell I could identify – maybe the chrysanthellum indicum extract? There are several natural extracts in this product but there are a lot of other ingredients, so this cleanser is not a true all-natural product. I was also concerned about animal cruelty, but since this comes from France and as far as someone I asked could ascertain is only sold in Hong Kong, which has animal-cruelty laws, and not China, which requires animal testing, it seems to be safe, although you’d probably want to research that yourself, since nothing is definitive. There is nothing on their website that mentions animal cruelty and it’s not listed in any registry I could find. I would like more transparency for sure.Overall, I do like the way it made my face feel fresh, clean and smooth, although I do with this were a more natural product.Let Amazon donate to your favorite charity! Shame on me for ordering this. The company clearly put their ingredients list on the product page but I missed it. The first ingredient is mineral oil and as we all know mineral oil clogs pores. If you are not aware just ask Alexa :). Not only does it clog pores, but according to Alexa, it can also be contaminated with toxins.This is too bad because this product looks fancy shamancy in its container. The smell is light and delicate as well. I didn't put it on my face to even test it out because my struggle is trying to keep my pores cleared so I am not going to use something that I know does the exact opposite.I did try it on the back of my hand and it went on very easily and surprisingly not real greasy. Such a shame about the mineral oil because other than that, I would have rated this much higher. As it stands I cannot recommend this.

This cleansing cream has beautiful presentation. It's probably the prettiest jar that I've ever seen. It looks very high end. The product itself, is just okay. First of all, the smell is pretty strong. I don't mind strong scents, but this was a very familiar one with notes of lemon. I love lemon scents, but this one is artificial. And when I finally figured out what it reminded me, that was a huge turn off. It smells just like dishwasher detergent! I had difficulties getting past that. The cream is very oily. I tried using it both ways - rinsing it with warm water and wiping off with a tissue. In both instances, my face didn't feel clean afterwards. This type of cleanser is not for me.

Holy strong smell! This contains fragrance and it’s irritating to my nose. The first ingredient is Mineral Oil. I couldn’t bear the very strong scent.I have two positive thoughts on this product:1) The packaging is lovely. The jar is a clean matte white and it comes with a spatula2) This product is soy freeOtherwise, this is a big no from me. Two stars for the positive thoughts but for the price, there’s a great deal of far healthier options for your face. Unless you’re happy smearing pore clogging oil and wax all over your face to “cleanse”.

My face gets really dry in the cold weather so when I saw this product I thought it would be perfect. Unfortunately, it wasn't. It has ingredients that clog your pores which then leads to serious breakouts. My skin got really red and blotchy after use. Not only that, the smell is very strong and it being on my face made my nose sting.While I appreciate the packaging and size I couldn't personally recommend it based on what it's made of. No woman (or man for the matter) wants to put a product on their face that is going to clog their pores.
