Cain's Jawbone Paperback – May 4, 2021

This book is so insanely unique! I’ve never seen anything like it. I’m not finished but I have a feeling I won’t be finished for quite awhile. It’s so complex and I feel like I keep needing to go back to it to figure out “just one more thing”.

A must-read for thrill-seekers!

I somehow missed the re-release of Cain’s Jawbone a couple of years ago. I only learned of it in early December, 2023. I ordered two copies: one to make notes in and one to take apart in order to shuffle the scrambled pages.This was one of the most difficult, frustrating challenges I have ever undertaken. At the same time, I became obsessed with it. Since the publisher will let you know if you have solved it in January of each year if you submit your solution by 12/31, I was on the clock. I spent hours each day researching quotes, checking historical references and shuffling pages.If you like a challenge, if you love word play, if you like solving mysteries, or if you have someone in your life who does, buy a copy or two. Be forewarned, it is not easy. But my sense of accomplishment when I emailed my solution was enormous.—————————HINTS: You will need Google maps and Botanical.com. Love the book. But it came a little damaged

Bought as gift. Quality as expected.

As someone who loves mysteries and reading, this fits the bill! Still organizing my pages, but super excited to do this fun challenge! I've heard about this a lot over the past several years, but now that I'm retiring, it will be a daily exercise for my brain! Fun stuff :)

I love puzzles and I heard about this author and different books having the same mixed up pages and you have to figure out how the story goes… I might just ask someone to read it like it’s a a regular book and see how they react!

The premise is outstanding, and the challenge is real - truly a delight for any true puzzle lover!But here's my problem with this puzzle book: This was written in 1930's British English, something that was poorly or not at all made apparent at first glance.This creates 2 major puzzles for anyone that speaks American English (or at least not British English) - trying to decipher several foreign and sometimes archaic words, and then the actual murdery mystery itself!Again, great concept, but made so much less fun by having to look up several British 1930's slang words on ALMOST EVERY PAGE.

Es un excelente libro si te gustan los misterios, acertijos y rompecabezas. Es complicado ir armando el caso con solo el libro, recomiendo sacarle copias o buscarlo en pdf para impresión porque si es necesario para ir armando el caso y llegar a una solución. No es dada fácil pero es muy entretenido.

I will definitely never figure this one out but I'll enjoy the ride.

Vi propaganda dele no TikTok, comprei em inglês porque (1) tava na promo, (2) eu queria praticar meu inglês e também porque (3) eu achei que prestaria mais atenção no texto, já que em português eu leio quase dinamicamente e isso não é bom quando se precisa prestar atenção em cada palavra escrita. Mas é divertida a humilhação, sabe? Tu ve todo mundo tentando resolver os enigmas do livro e ninguém conseguindo e pensa "não mas eu acho que eu tenho esse potencial" e dai quando o livro chega tu ta querendo marcar uma sessão espírita ou o que seja pra mandar o autor pra **** *** *****. Eu super recomendo ♥️ Chegou primeiro dia do intervalo de prazo e veio bem embaladinho (o que sinceramente não faz muita diferença ja que vc vai destruir o pobre livro pra achar a ordem certa) 😂

The book was delivered in perfect condition and it arrived 2 weeks before arrival date set originally.

This mystery puzzle will get you thinking. Really hard to solve, no wonder it's famous.
