Great product at a great price!
I work as a repairman at a nursing home. Several resident's have complained that their phone doesn't ring or they can barely hear it. This thing works so good! I don't have the heart to tell someone that they are going hard of hearing, and just said I would figure something out for them.I used double sided tape to have sit within the line of sight, so the resident can see the light flashing. The ring is so much louder than the phone! The residents are so glad they can clearly hear the phone ring or see the light flashing when someone is calling.I would recommend this to anyone who has a loved one that cannot hear the phone ring!

crazy loud - did the trick
I have a simple landline phone I use to connect with a gate, and over time the volume kept getting lower and lower on the phone, so I couldn't hear when someone was at the gate. I plugged this in and BOOM!!! The whole house is now filled with a ring when it goes off. It's awesome.BTW - the comments about it being cheap are totally irrelevant. Yeah it is, but so what. It works great, and having it made out of stainless steel or gold wouldn't make it work any better. And to get 2 for this price - perfect! Also - remember to get a simple phone line to use too. I picked up this one for instance: https://a.co/d/5HChGEW

Does not come with the wires needed
Sounds loud, thought strobe light would be better. Made from cheap plastic

For people who need acccomodation for phones
We installed this for a nonagenarian who takes out his hearing aids at home (not a good practice but tell me people don't all do it from time to time, for comfort and quiet.) So if you have someone who has trouble hearing the phone ring, this is terrific. It's loud and it flashes. We put one in the sitting room and one in the bedroom. You could add one in the garage or workshop if that's where they hang out or even on the sun porch. We also added a large button landline phone unit for ease of dialing.

This does not work on all phones.
This does not work on all phones. When I pick up the receiver the Telephone Amplifier keeps ringing and it doesn't recognize that the receiver is off the hook. it just keeps ringing and ringing.

Works without power source and low price. But not really that loud. Blinking light not very bright.
Very lightweight, small, cheap feeling product. It worked with no power source necessary to provide a loud ringer sounds. It worked on phone jacks with VOIP/cable provider source or regular landline source. The ring is not so loud that it hurts the ears of people with normal hearing. But not what we would consider loud like a smoke detector level. The blinking light was not very bright at all.One of the two units we received seemed louder than the other. One wouldn't even work at first, but eventually did after plugging in and out a few times. The price was cheap and you get two so problems are understandable. It is probably not recommended, but it was possible to daisy chain the two together and make it louder.

Pretty loud, easy to set up
This was easy to set up and it's pretty loud; I wish there was a setting to make it a bit louder for when I am outside, but it's plenty loud enough for most of the time, and to be fair, something that loud would definitely need to be turned down every time I came back inside. I don't think it would be acceptable to have it much louder than this if people were indoors.
