Very nice large puddle pad. Amazing price at $50
I’m so glad I bought this one! I bought a wool puddle pad that was half the size 8 years ago and it was $50. I still use that one and wanted another for my new baby. This one feels a little thicker and quite a bit softer than the original, which if for sure a bonus, but mainly I am impressed with how big it is for the price. I may add to the review after using it more, but since I’m familiar with this type of product I am pretty sure it will perform just as well if not better than my old one(since it is thicker)!I’ve been using it now for a week like I always used my old one ...I like to use it under my baby covered with a thin flannel blanket. It helps regulate his temperature and he doesn’t get sweaty. Whenever it gets little spills on it I just change the flannel blanket and beneath the puddle pad is still nice and fresh. I will air it out if it really gets wet and wash if soiled. You must be careful washing though. For best care I recommend using a wool wash and some dissolved lanolin. Then press in a towel to dry, and hang over a chair for a day. It dries very easily. I love this thing, I may get more of them for the rest of my family in the future. The size is great for the price, but $50 for each person adds up quick.

Works extremely well to protect bed, so soft too!
I have two smaller wool pads (different brand) like this that I love and they have worked extremely well as a mattress protector, so I thought I would try this bigger one to use on my 3 year old son's crib mattress in his toddler bed since placing the tow little ones side-by-side is a nuisance. I love this blanket for this use! The quality is so super nice, very soft and it's thicker than I expected, and was 1/3 of the price of my other two. I use it on top of his fitted sheet with another thin blanket over it to absorb any accidents for the last 4 months - It works fantastic for both keeping him warm, and for preventing any accidents (he's newly potty trained, and can't seem to make it through the night dry every night yet) from getting onto his mattress. Awesome product. I've yet to find any wetness soaked into it, and even better, it never has an odor even after an accident. I've already recommended this to many mom friends for the same purpose. So nice to have your little one not have to sleep on any kind of plastic but still keep our expensive crib mattress protected. Don't hesitate to buy this!

Much more than a simple mattress protector
First off I got this to be a crib mattress protector and have it be one that is natural fibre and breathable. I have a super toasty kiddo and breathability is a huge issue. What I didn't expect was how nice this is and how easily it would be a nice will comfort blankie once baby was older. This is great for the intended purpose, but is also soft enough that it can be used on the top of the sheets or as a blanket. Get some wool wash the same time as you buy this so you have it on hand. Hand wash this with special will wash to keep the lanolin which is critical to the water repellent aspect. This would make a great baby shower gift.

I like that it's natural wool
Sure it's expensive for what it is but I've been using it as a mattress protector in case my water breaks in bed. Once I have the baby though, I plan to use this for nursing in the evening on our bed and also as a cosleeper mat for the baby. It really keeps the bed nice and warm. I did buy a special wool wash detergent and have been washing it on gentle/delicate cycle. Upon taking out from the washer, it's damp but not sopping wet. I hang dry the mat as well, and it does have a wet, natural "sheepy" smell to it when air drying for those that are particular sensitive to smells. It dries nicely and is still soft to use.

Please bring this back, I want more!
This crib mattress pad is simply the best! It's so easy to use; It stays put under the sheet without the need for a skirt or elastic. It's soft. It washes and dries wonderfully. (My Mother accidentally washed and dried it in the dryer on normal settings with regular detergent even.) ... The pad I received did not smell like other reviewers said. My only complaint is that I cannot find another one anywhere, I even tried searching for Woolamaloo website to no avail. :(

Wonderful and soft!
Love these as in purchased two and will likely do more in the near future. These are soft and nice, kept the mattress protected while also keeping the user warm but not hot like the plastic lined mattress protectors. So far I’ve used it prior to my baby coming (encase my water broke), for my toddler’s bed (kept the bed dry when his night time diaper leaked) and has worked great in baby’s crib. I also own two smaller basset wool protectors and am thinking about buying larger ones for all of the beds in the house.

For a couch blanket, for the cats, soft and warm
I got this as a small couch blanket for me and the cats to use on the sofa. It is deliciously soft, not scratchy in the least, and pleasantly warm while still light. It's about a size to use to cover your lap and legs. As far as the cats are concerned, they seem to gravitate toward wool blankets and pads over anything made of polyester or cotton. Cats immediately recognize the best option for comfort and warmth!I washed it in the washer on cold/delicate, and dried it in the dryer on just air, and it came out very well.

... soft piece of fabric that will keep our grandson comfortable. I got this to use as the mattress ...
Lovely and soft piece of fabric that will keep our grandson comfortable. I got this to use as the mattress pad, and it covers the top quite sufficiently, but I prefer a pad that has sides and is fitted, so it won't slip and covers the entire exposed mattress under the sheets, so will probably end up getting a regular mattress pad to put under this one, but this will definitely be used on top of that. Maybe the company will start making a full mattress pad, with this wonderful wool as the top.

brilliant, soft and warm, can be used on top as a blanket or under sheet
The reviews were great so I bought 2 of these to try as an under and over blanket, they really are lovely and soft, cosy and warm and I will be buying one for top blankets for each bed in my Steiner 'Little Kindergarten' for 2-3 year olds in Brighton. I had them set out on the first stay and play morning and the children snuggled in, (without an adult invitation) the beds invited them! I bought them to compliment the Mother Nurture eco mattress to make a natural layer above the mattress cover. I am probably going to use older wool blankets for under the sheets and save these warm ones for on top. ideal for little ones and not scratchy at all. a great price.

Perfect especially when you have tiny twins who need help keeping a consistent temperture.
Brought for 3lb premature twins who sleep in a cot bed. This has helped keep the babies temperature consistent through out the day and night. As the babies are so tiny they can easily over heat or get cold if the bedding is not correctly made up with the correct amount of blankets. This under blanket is so soft which makes it much more comfier for them.We have this on top of their mattress under a bed sheet than just sleeping on a sheet on mattress.

Very nice.
Nice and soft. Have lanolised for added waterproof protection. Would prefer more generous side stitching but that's more personal preference. Using for nappy free time but will probably order another one for the mattress.
