Works great mostly. We have an 18-year-old mini doxie, who is mostly blind and picked this up per vet suggestion for a similar product after she injured one eye. She’s bony so it slips a bit and we have straighten to it frequently. Her nose is also a bit long, so a long oval option would be handy. Also, as she’s a super senior, wearing it tends to tire her out and sometimes confuses her on days she has more vision, but over all she loves it. It’s a decent more affordable option than other brands and does the job for the most part. If it’s between this or not buying an assistive device for your dog, get this. It gives your dog more confidence and safety, especially if your pooch is simply visually impaired rather than limited by age. The color is also great because it’s easy to see your dog and the straps are easy to adjust but a bit long

I’m so thankful that I found this when I did. I have a 13 year old partially blind teacup Yorkie and without this he wouldn’t be able to walk around without constantly hitting his head on everything. It took a few days for him to adjust to it but now he’s gained his confidence back and it brought me to tears watching him so happy again. If you aren’t sure if you should get this, just do it! Your pup will thank you!

I’m glad I waited to review this product as it took a bit for me to get it sized right for my pup. With that being said I am so so thankful for this product for giving my baby his confidence back. My sweet boy is only 13 but lost his vision due to diabetic cataracts almost over night and watching him smack his face into everything was breaking my heart. This product is a God send for animals in his situation as it allows them the ability to learn the lay of the land without hurting themselves. It is nice looking and surprisingly great quality for the price. I am actually buying another so he has a spare. For reviewers who say it’s annoying because it’s right in the dogs eye line, remember, it needs to be there to protect their faces. The halo itself can be sized for your pup so don’t be afraid to keep adjusting it until it’s just right. My dog can barely see anything and it was still an adjustment for him to wear it but now he loves it and won’t move unless it’s on him. Give your dog a day or two to adjust and it will be the best thing you can do for a blind pet.

This is not perfect but definitely extremely helpful for my mostly blind and deaf 17.5 y/o dog. It took him some time to adjust because he can slightly see with one eye so the halo freaked him out for a few days. My dog now walks with confidence and without constantly getting hurt. I think it helps him with balance too. The harness twists when he walks and runs into things so it doesn’t stop him from hitting his head on everything 100% of the time. He does get stuck on doors, under chairs, on cabinets or in corners sometimes but I prefer that over him always hitting his head and falling over. It makes me happy to give him freedom to roam around again without getting hurt! My dog is around 7-8 lbs and I got the xxs for him.
