My newly installed bathroom exhaust fan needed a better air flow exit than a flexible hose from the unit to the ventilated eaves, a distance of about 12 feet. My project was to install a wall vent cap on the house siding of about 4 feet from the unit for better exhausting. Not being a person who does this everyday but has rudimentary skills and tools, the instructions said that a PVC mounting plate (not included in the kit) was needed. This 1/4-inch-thick sheet was the perfect solution! The PVC cut easily to the dimensions of the vent cap and the 4-inch hole for the ducting. There was wood backing for the cap attaching screws to secure to support the light and durable unit against the siding. With the Summer heat, the job took a little longer than envisioned, but with the caulking and paint for a waterproof seal, the completed vent cap job looks great and, in my mind, does a better job ventilating the bathroom than the old method! The PVC is durable, the correct size and thickness and was a great value for the money as it provides support against the house siding for a great looking job-well-done!!

I use this for fans on my car audio build. It’s a great value for the money and it is exactly the right fit and size. It isn’t too thick being a quarter inch but it’s exactly what I needed. It is a little bit flimsy and dents very easily. So if you need something with structural support or something not flimsy go with HDPE. Overall the product is great and the clarity of the pvc was very good upon arrival.
