Straight forward, simple, robust
I have free electricity for a few hours a day (when the wind blows and/or sun shines) so I bought a couple of the 3kW versions of this and a couple of these 2kW versions for smaller rooms. So to be clear, I don't care about the cost of running these. The fan is always on. Let's get that out there. It has to run to stop the element from overheating the case and anything that is resting on it. There is no secondary thermostat to turn off the fan. As for energy use, it uses more or less 2kW on the nail, so if it is on for one hour, it uses 2kWh - yup, the maths is that simple. I have to get rid of 100kWh a day, so anything I can plug in (I have a Tesla that charges using this system too) and these little heaters really chuck out plenty of heat for the few hours a day I run them.I wouldn't want to use these outdoors e.g. a greenhouse as you'll be losing your mind with earth trips due to moisture/condensation. The unit is primarily metal and thus, when cold, will be a target for condensation as the greenhouse naturally warms in the morning. Then you'll get an earth trip when switching on the heater. One word of advice if using it indoors, take it outside and power it at 2kW for 10mins or so to burn off the anti-corrosion oil that is inside the heater - it really stinks.I would recommend buying a timer with this product if you want to use it for the intended purpose as the fan will continue to run (30W) after the temperature is reached.

Solid heater but quite expensive to run.
When it arrived I was impressed with the actual heater itself. Very solid and perfect for a greenhouse. Sadly it is a little pricey to run. Heat setting 1 and having your thermostat pretty low is the only way to save on cost really. Bit apart from that it's a very decent heater.

Robust 230v Greenhouse heater
The heater is well made inside a strong coated metal case with a lifting handle on the top. There are two heat settings 1Kw & 2 Kw settings which are selected via a rotational switch. It is not totally thermostatically controlled but the heat output can be adjusted using a second rotational switch. If there were a true temperature display / setting I would give it 6 stars.I use it overnight and the total cost for 8 hours was approximately £2.50 on the 1Kw setting although this cost will depend on your tariff and outside temp. In the time I have used it has always keep the Greenhouse frost free maintaining a 4 degree C or above. My Greenhouse is a Rhino 8 x 8 with 4mm toughened glass, so these cost may differ if used in another make of Greenhouse.Check around for best prices as there was a £12 difference when I looked on line, some even offered free postage / delivery.Despite my thoughts on temperature control I do recommend this heater as a reliable heat source for a Greenhouse / Conservatory.Safety Note! If you use any 230v appliance with in a metal Greenhouse, make sure the the metal structure / appliance is earth bonded via an appropriate earthing system!

Performswell
I bought this to heat my conservatory and to click on when temperature drops below 5 degrees. As this hasn’t happened yet, can’t comment on that function. However, as I ocassionally use it to dine in found it heated up the area really quickly.

Works well
Really pleased, only complaint the flex could be a bit longer. For anyone struggling to work out the thermostat read the instructions carefullyThe fan is always on. Turn the thermostat to full, set off the heater in mode 1 or 2. Then when it's been running a few minutes and at the temp you want, turn the thermostat down until you hear a click, that's the element going off, the fan will still run. The element will go off and on to maintain the temperature.
