This book is a waste of time
By the time you hit page 3 you begin to get a feeling of disappointment. But I still continued and I would give this book a minus rating if i could

Read this book!
This is a well written book that chronicles the real life rewards and failures of a seasoned investor, coupled with practical advice and strategic perspectives across stocks, commodities, and early-stage venture capital. The Speculator’s Mosaic offers a rare glimpse into the thought process of a skilled trader that is taking large and calculated risks with their own money.I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in how emotion, greed and illusion impact not only your buy/sell decisions but how you can leverage these principles against others in the market and find unique opportunities for profit.

Very unique and valuable book for those wanting an edge in speculating
Mr. Leppo does a great job of telling his own story about his own unique style of investing, gambling, and venture capital. I don’t think he went into enough detail in the section about poker and I was not interested in the venture capital section and that is the reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 as a rating. The parts about investing and trading were very good. And I do not believe that Mr. Leppo exaggerated telling his own story as some can do. I certainly recommended this book to everyone.

A must read whether you are a speculator or not
A quick and easy read as the author writes as he speaks. Although I have known Bob for a long time, this gives me much better insight into the way he thinks. Anyone interested in speculating in any environment can learn from this master. My only disagreement is that Bob is not lazy. We should all be as “lazy“ is as he. I also have a much better appreciation for why he likes byzantine culture.
