This is amazing and time consuming!
I hate how my local gym canceled the Les Mills Body Combat classes on the days i can go, but I like how I can now take the classes on Meta Quest 2 in subversive VR. I work up a sweat and can choose as many workouts as I want. So I don't even miss the class at the gym being taken away! This is awesome! On another note, being first submerged into the VR world, I was amazed and it took my breath away. I didn't know where to begin, but it did have a great tutorial that took place within my own "house" environment. There are soooooooo many games and apps and things to do and see, a lot of it free, it is hard to figure out what to try and do. I love how YouTube VR has totally 360° videos and VR videos thar border on creepy how realistic they can be. One lady rubbed latex gloves by my ears and it felt real and raised the hairs on my head and body as she played a tuning fork while doing this "reiki" healing. Idk if it is real Reiko, but it felt so real, it was just mindblowing. Another video showed what sleep paralysis (which I do have sometimes) is like, and while it isn't entirely what I've experienced, some parts are very much scary how real they felt, esp the end of the video. There's VR social worlds, as you can design your avatar to look like you or whatever version of yourself you want to be. I gave myself purple hair! I was sad to see the skin color choices were all realistic and no green or purple or red, lol. So it sort of forces you to look like a regular person, even if you can buy cheap outfits of role play and fantasy style stuff like queen of dragons or samurai outfits. In your home, you have a mirror to show you what you look like and you can change it anytime. Sometimes you see other people and wonder what you look like to them. But it doesn't matter. It's all fun to see other people that are real also playing games or Body Combat alongside you and against you vying for first place. It makes it more fun! I haven't tried the chat world's or social meetups, but I don't know where to begin. This can consume one's daylight hours easily just exploring where to begin or finding favorite games to play. Some are pricey, but even I paid whatever for Body Combat, as it was well worth it. Everything had Bern amazing so far, and as someone with kids and taking online classes, I don't have much free time to explore worlds, and i have to watch the virtual watch on my wrist to keep track of time or set an alarm on my phone to remind me to do things before it's too late, lol. So far, this has been an amazing purchase. I saw it at CostCo and looked it up and saw Amazon had it cheaper, and I could make 5 monthly payments for it, so I went with buying it on Amazon. You can take photos, but I can't find them to post here. You alsoncan use your microphone to voice commands or talk to people or bots or just issue commands to change how things look or appear. I can't even begin to sum up how amazing this stuff is, but I did try! Worth every dollar I paid for sure. And now the Quest 3 is coming out at over double the cost. I can't imagine it getting better than this, but the headset can be stuffy esp when working out and sweating 😅 so i hear the Quest 3 will help fix that and make a thinner headset etc. And no more rounded controllers. You can make boundaries for your world and be warned if out of bounds so you don't knock into things like chairs, beds, plants, cables, other stuff. And I have one set up for when I'm in bed! Some are made for lying down and sleeping. It's crazy.

YAYY VR!!
A little buggy on occasion, but it's quest 2 so whatever; My friends and I have been using one for years and that's just how they are. I highly recommend! I take good care of mine and it works pretty good! Careful not to overcharge it though, the battery will drain quicker, such as every device. I do suggest getting an extra battery pack attached to the end, cause the normal strap is annoying to deal with and you have to adjust every minute it feels like cause it won't stay in place/keeps falling off.

Its stunning visuals, powerful performance, and comfort-enhancing design immerse me in virtual worlds like never before. With its vast library of games and social interaction features, the Quest 2 has become an essential part of my gaming setup, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to elevate their gaming experience to new heights. Pros: - Stunning high-resolution display with vibrant colors - Powerful performance and smooth gameplay - Comfortable and customizable fit - Intuitive and responsive Touch controllers - Wireless design for unrestricted movement - Expansive library of games and social interaction features Cons: - Limited battery life during intensive use Overall, the Meta Quest 2 deserves its place at the forefront of the VR gaming revolution, and it has undoubtedly earned its spot as a flagship device in the virtual reality market.

Great VR
Design and Comfort: First things first, the Meta Quest 2 looks pretty cool! It has a sleek and modern design that caught my eye. When I wore it, I found it surprisingly lightweight, and the straps were easily adjustable for a comfortable fit. I had a blast playing games without feeling any discomfort. However, if you've got a larger noggin like me, it might feel a tad snug. But hey, it still worked fine! Visuals and Display: The visuals on the Meta Quest 2 are pretty impressive. The colors are vibrant, and everything looks sharp and detailed. It's definitely a step up from older VR headsets I've tried. I noticed a slight "screen-door effect" sometimes, where you can see tiny gaps between the pixels, but it didn't bother me much once I got immersed in the games. Performance and Experience: Playing games on the Meta Quest 2 was a blast! The performance was smooth most of the time, although I did experience occasional hiccups in graphically intense moments. It didn't ruin the experience, but it was noticeable. The wireless freedom was a game-changer for me. No annoying cables or external sensors to worry about—I could just jump around and explore the virtual world without restrictions. It was pretty awesome! Content Library: The Meta Quest 2 has a ton of games and experiences to choose from. I was like a kid in a candy store! Whether you're into action-packed adventures or educational simulations, there's something for everyone. The only downside I found is that some of the big-name VR titles I wanted to play weren't available on this platform. But hey, there's still a wide variety of options to keep you entertained. Overall Impression: So, my overall take on the Meta Quest 2? It's a solid virtual reality headset! I had a great time using it, and it definitely took my gaming experience to a whole new level. The design is slick, the visuals are immersive, and the wireless aspect is a game-changer. Sure, it's not perfect—the fit might be snug for some, and there can be occasional performance hiccups—but it's still a fantastic device. If you're looking to dip your toes into the VR world, I'd say give the Meta Quest 2 a shot!

Great VR Headset with few Caveats
Let me start by saying that this headset is really awesome for the price. There's just not any VR headsets out there in this price range, and this is a decent one by any standard. That's for sure. I 100% recommend it. My kids and I have had a blast with it. There's fun for the whole family. Even my 4 year old can sit and ride roller coasters, despite barely being able to hold the controllers. That said, there are a few things that could be improved, and unfortunately the latest version of the Quest is double the price of this one (too much for my blood): -Screen casting. So yesterday I had the option to screen cast to the TVs on my network. Today? Nope. Now it says to cast to my phone and mirror to the TV. Literally overnight they took away a great feature. What the heck?? I searched the internet and there are others saying the same thing. I hope they bring it back soon. It's great to share your experience with others or help your small kids through things. -Weight/comfort. This thing is pretty heavy to have on your face for a long time. It can be difficult to get it to fit comfortably with the OOTB strap. They skimped a bit on the straps for sure. I've ordered a better strap and hope it helps with comfort. -Battery life & charging cability. They say the battery lasts 2 hours, which I question, but even 2 hours seems like nothing on a weekend where all of the kids take turns on the headset nonstop all day. So I hooked up a 15' USB charging cord (which you have to buy seperately, mind you), but the charging is still just barely able to keep up to the power draw on a 2 amp charging block (total 10 watts of charging). So you better be sure you don't accidentally yank that USB cable out of the wall. I'm ordering a QC3.0 charger (a 3 amp charger) in hopes that it helps (people on the internet say it can charge up to 15 watts on the Quest 2) with a 15' cable that is rated for 30 watts to ensure I don't have a bottle neck in my cable. A 50% boost in charging speed would be great. It's a shame that they didn't design it to just use a barrel plug w/ an AC adapter, which could give you way more power than a standard USB-C connection. Plus you wouldn't have to worry about making sure you have the correct (and expensive) USB cables and adapters, which would still be the case even if they used high-wattage PD power delivery. I hate being constrained by batteries, and even more so by batteries and slow chargers.

Gets used every day
I’m not “a gamer”—last console I owned was a PlayStation2—but have to say I love this headset. VR is the future not only of gaming, but of everything! Grandiose, I know, but this environment opens up so many possibilities—as did the internet before it. Anyway, back to the Oculus 2 headset. Drawbacks: as a mobile device, it’s limited in the resolution of it visuals. It doesn’t have the processing power to render as sharply as a console or PC. That said, the immersive experience is provides is breathtaking. Also, limited battery power means you can only play a couple hours or so before needing to plug it in again to charge. And for now, you do need a Facebook account to use it; that is evil on so many levels, there shouldn’t even be a need to elaborate. The pros, however, outweigh these limitations. As the de facto heavyweight of VR, the Oculus Quest (or Meta Quest, as Zuckerberg wants you to call it) offers a huge library in every genre. And it’s growing. Yes, the majority seem to be about shooting zombies, shooting soldiers, or beating the crap out of people (and there are excellent entries in those categories). But you’ll also find puzzle games, dancing games, fitness, educational, social, and family fun titles. I use it primarily to stay active and burn calories. The Move app counts calories burned while wearing the headset. When you’re slashing monsters with a sword or going toe-to-toe with boxing opponents, you barely notice you’re exercising! As others have noted, the stock Oculus needs some aftermarket upgrades to make it comfortable—headstrap replacement, silicon sweat shield. All fair points. Is this the BEST VR headset available? No. Is it the best VR headset AND experience available, for $300? In 2021-22 at least, yes. This will be the product that finally brings VR to the masses. If you want to see what VR is all about, and don’t mind the creepy Facebook factor, the Quest 2 should provide tons of enjoyment.

I love it but it does have a few issues
Now that Ive gotten 50 hrs or so in, across a few apps and games I feel comfortable in reviewing this. It works great and really brings you to another world when it goes smooth. That being said it does have charging while playing issues not related to your PC do some research problems are more than a year old and Oculus responds with they are aware and working on it. Apparently at a snails pace but at least they acknowledge it. I wont suggest one product over another but a few solutions are available and can be bought on Amazon and elsewhere to remedy it until they get around to figuring it out. This is a quick changing and newish tech so its fair to say there will be growing pains. As far as wireless it works great I also got the elite strap with additional battery this is a must, a little pricey but changed the entire feel and use of the headset! Again many other choices at lower price but I find you get what you pay for as I tried to cheap out on 2 diffrent Link cables to PC and just wound up retrurning and buying over priced Oculus brand cable but you know what it hasnt failed since so I guess I got what I paid for regardless of my feelings on pricing. This can be a really cool learning tool, entertainment tool and even a productive tool the applications I can imagine will be limitless one day. As of today I stil hate the costs associated and it took me awehile to save and convince myself to buy it my only regret is I didnt do it sooner. If your not tech savy or dont have immediate access to someone that is I would avoid this for now, but if your patient and willing to learn a bit and do some research from time to time you will really enjoy this. Just pace yourself and build a tolerance as it can be disorienting and vomit inducing at times took me a good week to be able to stay on a couple hours without side effects LOL
