as it is the best door mat for us here in Western Pennsylvania
I purposely search out this doormat every 10 years or so. I hope they don't stop manufacturing it, as it is the best door mat for us here in Western Pennsylvania, and maybe for you, too, after I tell why. With the snowy and icy winters, the rough bristles of the mat are perfect for clearing the snow off of the bottom of my snow boots, and it never gets moldy...always crisp and sturdy come every Spring. It is easy to clean--we just put it out in the grass or the gravel of the drive and hose it off back to front , letting it dry in the Sun. In the Summer and Spring it is perfect for cleaning the mud off the bottom of our shoes, too. It is somewhat heavy, but not too heavy, so it will not slide all over the place...very dependable. Lasts a LONG time.

Sheds a lot and it is only a few weeks old
The mats look good outside of the fact that they have been constantly shedding since I got them. I don't think it's all loose fibers, I think some of the shedding is breaking of the fibers. I am concerned they will not last through the winter even though they get very low traffic. Fingers crossed.

lightweight and disappointing
very flimsy and lightweight compared to my old one, which weighed 15 pounds MORE than this 10 pounder. the weave was loose, not dense. and it sheds worse than a shetland pony in springtime.

Grand Coir Fiber-so versatile!
Wonderful for keeping dirt /debris out of our home Best of all,it's biodegradable- no nasty vinyl backing to lie eternally in landfills, leaking endocrine disruptors.

Cushy and Effective
I have two dogs and a garden. We track in a lot of mud. Previous mats did nothing to reduce the dirt that was tracked into the house and they created a trap for water underneath them- causing damage to the deck. We've only had this mat for a week now but it appears to be well made, is very cushy- almost luxurious in a totally outdoorsy way. Our snow is melting and the mud is present and yet this mat is doing its job and preventing it from being tracked in. Sure, you cannot keep it all out unless you put booties on your dogs- but it is helping quite a bit.I plan to buy one or two more for the other entryways we use a lot. Any maybe even more so I have them in the future!I love the color- just as the photo shows - but nicely coordinates with our deck that has a natural weathered look even though its perfectly protected (thanks to Defy Epoxy stain in Driftwood Grey).oy- I think I sound like a professional reviewer now... but, totally not.

Not durable
The mat is thick but feels soft and loosely constructed. After 11 months of light use on a covered porch, it is starting to come apart at 2 of the corners.

Perfect!
I purchased this for my front porch. It's thick and was perfect. I recently had a tour at the house and over 800 people attended in two days - It's still in like-new shape. I'd buy it again. I didn't have any of the problems that other folks seemed to have. I'm careful about the quality of the items I purchase, and was very satisfied.

Doesn't really hold up
I loved how soft and fluffy it was, but this mat disintegrated after just a few weeks of use. :(
