Good quality
I use this for my kitchen. The material is sturdy and good looking wood. It was bigger than I thought but is fine. It has a good capacity to hold trash. We have been using it for a couple of months and it still sturdy and no problems with it. Good value for money.

Wood waste basket
Love the wood waste basket for the bathroom. Our trim around the floor and door is black walnut live edge, so we love the accent of the garbage can. Love the size. Love how light it is. Very pleased.

Lightweight, shou sugi ban style finish
When the description says this is a "rustic" style, they're not kidding. The edges are uneven. The surface finish may or may not suit your style. It appears to be solid wood that has been burnt in a light shou sugi ban (Japanese wood burning) style to give it a darker look. The grains of the wood are pronounced and raised as a result of this finishing style, leaving the surface smooth, but uneven to the touch (unlike other reviews, I would NOT characterize the finish as "rough"). The wood itself appears to be some sort of lightweight softwood. Maybe pine - it lacks the heft or grain of a hardwood like oak or maple. I personally didn't like it, but depending on your decor and style preferences, it may work for someone else.
