NOW Foods Supplements, Biotin 1,000 mcg, Amino Acid Metabolism*, Energy Production*, 100 Capsules

Been having some hair loss lately due to stress and eating much less. I would see big clumps of hair in my shower drain and was vacuuming more than usual because I was shedding so much. I started taking 4 biotin pills a day with 2 1000 mg pantothenic acid pills to offset the fact that biotin makes skin oilier and it causes acne for me. I was taking pantothenic acid prior to starting biotin so can confidently say the changes I've seen are attributable to this supplement. The pantothenic acid dries up sebaceous glands so no more acne issue, while the biotin still does its job of stopping hair loss. The difference in hair loss has been dramatic for me. In just two weeks time, I've started noticing only a couple of hairs in the drain versus a clump of hair which has been a consistent issue. The change may have been more immediate, but I wasn't actively looking for results, just saw the stark drop in hair loss. Also when I run my fingers through my hair, there's no hair coming off onto my hands. Normally, I'd pull out a couple of strands. My eyebrows are darker too. These are just some apparent differences that I had to mention.Now it's not just a difference in my hair either. I noticed my nails are shinier. As far as skin, no changes are apparent because I take good care of my skin to begin with.One thing to point out is that this protocol can be maximized by taking biotin periodically throughout the day (smaller doses spread out), and a larger overall intake doesn't cause detrimental effects because it's water soluble so you just pee out whatever your body doesn't use. Yes, you go through the bottle faster but you reap more noticeable effects short and long term. It's up to you what route you take though based on your own needs.Update: My nails have gotten dramatically harder. Before the supplement, all my life really, I could bend my nails, they were very flexible. Now my nails don't bend at all, even with a lot of pressure against them they're very hard. I've also noticed baby hairs around my forehead. Wonderful supplement. Will continue to take at a larger daily dose of about 4 capsules a day spread out.

I don't usually buy 'drugstore' brands of supplements, but these are really good. No need to pay a fortune when these do the job. I can really tell a difference in the strength of my nail (hair, etc) I have terribly thin nails which can be very painful, they break and tear and it really is annoying. This product makes them stronger. Very helpful.

I have been taking this for 3 months and I can't say I have seen very visible results, but my nails are ok and I can see some new hair growth, so I think I will continue to take this. However, the price is ridiculous. I paid $4.XX in Dec 2020 and it is now over $10, from the same seller. How is this possible??

Very good for your hair, I have experienced massive growth in my hair since consuming this. I keeps my skin healthy and also my nails grow faster. The taste is not awful. Must purchase if you experience hair loss also, drink your water !
